“Garden Vibes” by The Song Gardeners
Song review by New Age CD and New Age Notes Radio Staff
There is always something special about The Song Gardeners musical offerings. The superb and delightful vocal harmonies between Mary Gospe and Corrie Dunn are surpassed by none. As well, their lyrics are always fresh and engaging and tend to bring one back to a good and grounded center, which I think is what “gardening” is all about if you see it that way.
The Song Gardeners, the dynamic singer/songwriter duo of Dunn and Gospe, often joined by James Butler on synth, bass, percussion and David Scheibner on guitars, percussion, synths, are at the forefront of what we call the “New Age Pop” genre. They specialize in creating well-crafted, contemporary chill, pop, groove songs which carry positive and empowering messages for humanity.
Their new song, “Garden Vibes,” was written by Corrie Dunn one bright, sunny day while sitting in her yard enjoying her garden and the fruits of her labors. Here, The Song Gardeners return to their “roots,” as the naming of their band pertains to their mutual love for gardening.
“Garden Vibes” begins with harmonious a cappella singing from both Corrie and Mary as they communicate the beauty of the garden through their music and lyrics:
“In the sunlight,
breathing sweet mother nature
Watching the seedlings thrive
Feeling dirt in my hands
Hear the bees humming
Digging these garden vibes. . .”
A smooth, warm, and mellow rock vibe continues and builds with help from David Scheibner on guitars, James Butler on synths and percussion. Corrie Dunn takes the keys and lead vocals, and Mary Gospe shines like the brilliant sun on background vocals.
Each verse transports us easily into Corrie’s lovely, abundant garden, where we can feel her magical garden vibes wrapping us in love. Without a doubt, “Garden Vibes” gives listeners a pleasant 4-minute escape from whatever ails you.

How Toil In The Soil Transforms Our Lives: A Musical Reward To All Gardeners In The World
For their new single ‘Garden Vibes’, The Song Gardeners pick up an unusual theme and develop an interesting musical narrative. There are tons of resources online and offline on gardening. But, have you ever come across a song on growing plants in our backyard? Sounds strange! Isn’t it?
Gardening as an activity or hobby has many dimensions to it: It is a nice little way of ‘greening’ the world. It promotes a deeper connection with nature; gives an opportunity to unleash creativity and find some form of physical activity to beat stress in the company of our flora friends. In the process, we end up developing something that supplies a few veggies to our kitchen, as well as gives us a lovely place to unwind after a hectic day’s physical and mental hassles.
A Musical Reward To All Gardeners In The World
In “Garden Vibes,” The Song Gardeners embed a truly inspiring purpose to their mission. I feel the composer intends to reward all those souls that have spared some toil in the soil out of personal interest to develop a green space, ultimately showing them that they have done a splendid job – a multipurpose project useful to themselves and the community too.
The simple but profound lyrics takes over the entire show, resonating with our common understanding of what gardening is. It is amazing to see the song describe some nice scenes in the garden and list some interesting chores of gardening. Especially I liked the lines sung by the chorus,
“Good for the body, good for the mind
Cultivate cycles of life
Edible energy feeds my soul
Sowing the seeds of time”,
which beautifully summarizes the most wonderful things about gardening. I can’t help but admire the phrase “Edible energy feeds my soul”, which highlights the physical and psychological benefits of gardening. ‘The energy derived from gardening feeding our soul’ is a fabulous idea that highlights the incredible merits of gardening.
Take Away
Words and Music for the song has been accomplished by Corrie Dunn. David Scheibner on guitars, James Butler on synths and percussion, Corrie Dunn on keys and lead vocals, and Mary Gospe on background vocals – the team has given its best in all to carry the audience away to a lovely garden to visualize those nice scenes over there, have some mental respite and also carry an inspiring message on the benefits of gardening. I found ‘Garden Vibes’ an interesting and inspiring single. At the end of the listening, I couldn’t resist the urge to pick up a few tools and set foot in my garden soil.
This is a nice song you can share with kids to inspire them on the importance of ‘Going Green’. I am sure, you will fall in love with this lovely song and appreciate the nice work The Song Gardeners have done in the single, and probably in their gardens too.

Garden Vibes

Contemporary Pop duo The Song Gardeners latest single titled Garden Vibes was written by Corrie Dunn one afternoon after she sat contemplating the richness of her garden. This catchy, up-tempo tune with a bounce in very word, backed with some serious guitar riffs, offers a tribute to the Earth and Mother Nature, who nurtures us with her abundance, if only we take the time to ‘dig the earth and dig the garden vibes’.
At almost 4 minutes in duration it is the perfect piece to add to your gardening playlist and will certainly give the seeds being planted a boost. It is scientifically proven that plants benefit immensely from the vibrations of music, which also reflects on the people who work the soil, plant the seeds and gather the harvest. An analogy for life, maybe!
The Song Gardeners, Mary Gospe and Corrie Dunn have released a number of albums and singles to great acclaim since they formed in 2020, each one with a message or messages and each one with a catchy up beat tempo, adding a fresh new sound to modern ‘folk’ based music.

Garden Vibes
By
The Song Gardeners
Written by
Steve Sheppard
I was only saying the other day to my wife Chrissie Sheppard, it’s going to be nice to be able to sit in our garden and enjoy it again, now summer is drawing to a close, watching the bees do their thing, the butterflies drift on the winds the many colours of our flowers, and the scents of our herbs once again growing in the cooler conditions, this new single Garden Vibes sums up my aforementioned statement to a tee.
Musically The Song Gardeners are a new age band, who over the last few years has solidified their position in the genre to become one of the best acts around, many of their compositions have been huge hits and this one I truly believe will go the same way.
There is something very charming about this song that takes me, for some reason, back to the mid-nineties; it might be the accomplished guitar work from David Scheibner, it might also be the enticing James Butler on synths, or the magical hands of Dunn on the keys, regardless this is another pop classic from two ladies who are so very adept in producing one hit new age pop song after another, this time Garden Vibes gifts us a moment of serenity in a picturesque sanctuary to enjoy.
Written by Corrie M. Dunn, Garden Vibes is with ease another massive hit, one that has been grown organically by the band, and has now been served up to the listeners who will be more than happy to feast on its contents. Garden Vibes is a much needed reverie into peace and contentment that we all so desperately need right now, and one of the lightest and happiest compositions thus far from the New Age super band, The Song Gardeners.

Sonic Landscape Review - by Steve Sheppard - One World Music Radio
What the world needs now more than ever is The Song Gardeners, their music, the lyrical overtures of peace and love are without doubt a commodity we desperately need to wipe away the fear, miss communication and utter gullibility that seems to be spreading around the globe like a wild fire in July, truly good honest uplifting and positive music like Sonic Landscape can make a difference, and if each of us embrace music such as this, the noise and confusion within our minds can change too.
That aforementioned statement is well catered for in this opening song entitled Present a fine example of musical instructions on how to think far more clearly and, critically, and whilst doing so in the Present, the song itself is should be a constant mantra for us all.
This collection of eight previously released singles should be sought after post haste, especially one of the best new age pop singles ever released in Send Love to Everyone Heal the Divide, this would have worked well in the 60’s and 70’s with ease, whilst offerings like the inspiring More of This with its electro funky beat and percussive Sympathy For the Devil opening hit the spot beautifully.
This is an album you simply cannot go wrong with, all the hits are there, for me it was great once more to bathe myself in the sonic soundscape of tracks like April Sky, a release that reminded me of my youth and the hours I used to spend alone under the galactic vastness, this song is also a perfect example of the genre that we now New Age Pop.
Within concludes the album release, one that I personally hope will be a huge success for The Song Gardeners, I have much respect for them and what they are trying to achieve. Within is in fact the perfect ending track, after all if we cannot be true to ourselves just what hope do we have of being so with others.
Sonic Landscape by The Song Gardeners should be given more attention than any of the news channels on your TV, as at least the information contained within the album is real, honest, true and packed with integrity.
Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe should be applauded for their efforts in general, but even more so for the release of this their new album, its fluent and powerful messages and musicianship drift across the landscape of all that is utterly splendid musically speaking, and hopefully for the ladies of empowerment, that not only a chart hit is on its way, but awards are to follow in its wake also, this is easily an album I can honestly recommend.
Sonic Landscape Review - by Jan Mawdesley - Blue Wolf Reviews
The latest release from the Song Gardeners, pop duo Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe Sonic Landscape ask a time old question over the eight song of feeling the energy, healing the issues and listening to the world around us as we can hopefully live in harmony in the not too distant future.
It is in essence catchy, up-tempo and message driven with a hope that mankind can move past the tragedy that surrounds us on a daily basis to look toward the greater good; Peace.
Present is a track full of energy pulsating with a solid base rhythm which is followed by two songs, both of which have been released as singles. Send Love To Everyone (Heal the Divide) is a prayer to mankind to forgive, to stop taking sides.
Talking to Trees is a lovely whimsical little song that encourages a return to nature, to sit under a tree, to hug a tree, to share and understand hopes and dreams as only a deep connection to nature can deliver.
Snazzy percussion with deep bass lead in More of This a new up-tempo song in celebration of the future that contains more of holding hands, babies precious first smiles, dancing to a seductive beat, enjoying the rhythm, the joy, and happiness. More of this please is wished in the wonderfully, hopeful lyrics.
Looking at the rules of life and what never changes, is the catchy Future Lives followed by April Sky; a prayer asking the heavens to keep us safe and sound, while we are able to enjoy and dream of things wondrous under an April Sky.
The simple lyrics to The Little Things celebrate all the little things that bring joy, put smiles on faces and add a light to a day which all help make the world a far better place.
Within brings a refreshing collection of songs delivered in what has become The Song Gardeners signature style, New Age Pop, to a delightful conclusion. Their music, has hints of 1960’s folk music, prayerful lyrics which can very easily become a daily mantra, underpinned with a genuine desire to help spread love and understanding to the world.
Sonic Landscape looks to a brighter, happier, future by using the healing power of music to reach out and send a message of love and peace to the world.
Sonic Landscape Review - by Dyan Garris - New Age Notes Radio
“Sonic Landscape” by The Song Gardeners
Album Review by New Age CD and New Age Notes Radio Staff
“Universal themes with a fresh approach.” – Dyan Garris, New Age Notes Radio
The Song Gardeners, Mary Gospe and Corrie Dunn, are a California based singer-songwriter duo specializing in their contemporary, upbeat, funky, chill groove version of “New Age pop.” Since emerging on the New Age music scene in 2020, they’ve garnered many accolades, nominations, and awards for their music. What makes their music particularly memorable and noteworthy is the superb vocal harmonies along with their uplifting, inspiring lyrics.
“Sonic Landscape” is their second full album. This album is a compilation of eight previously released singles which have been remastered for an enhanced listening experience. The lyrical themes running throughout the album speak to gratitude, gifts, and guidance.
The album opens with the funky groove song, “Present.” Here, we are reminded quite nicely to stay in the present moment. Following is the recently released, “Send Love to Everyone (Heal the Divide).” “Send love to everyone, no matter what they have done. . .” Great, timely lyrics and we are reminded that the “divide” is healed by unifying and not taking sides. With its 60s band groove, it’s a powerful call to peace.
A flowing, melodious, harmonious piece, “Talking To Trees,” reminds us of our universal connection and as well to get back to our roots. This is a very pretty song in every way. It’s a favorite and has remained on the charts for five consecutive months.
With its funky disco dance beat and sultry vocals, “More Of This” compels us to get up and dance in gratitude and create more of what we do want in life rather than what we don’t.
“Future Lives” has some low-key jazz elements, and the engaging lyrics address different phases of life from childhood to adolescence and on to adulthood. What is someone’s life purpose? What are we doing here? And we are also encouraged to share our gifts and talents with future generations as well as in the present.
A beautiful pop dance song, “April Sky,” draws us into the mystery of the stars and constellations that exist in the Milky Way. Celebratory and optimistic, this is a great song.
“The Little Things” has a bit of a gospel feel to it and reminds us that it’s the little things in life that make up the fabric of our lives. “It’s the little things that put a smile on my face, it’s the little things make this world a better place. . .”
This lovely album closes out with the somewhat hypnotic, dreamy piece, “Within.” This encourages us to introspect and remember that it all begins from inside ourselves. We can activate the innate qualities of gratitude, wisdom, compassion. . . ”speak your truth.”
This is a very enjoyable album and It’s really nice to have all these great songs by The Song Gardeners in one place. The album is available on all major streaming services.

Sonic Landscape Review - by Fonz Tramontano - Clouzine Magazine
The Song Gardeners are Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe. They formed the band in August 2019 and are at the forefront of the New Age Pop genre. Along with their producer, David Scheibner, they create memorable, well produced contemporary songs with empowering positive messages and a relaxed feel. Since releasing their first singles in 2020, The Song Gardeners have achieved multiple awards and top chart placings.
The Song Gardeners second album is called “Sonic Landscape.” The album consists of eight previously released singles that have been remastered by producer David Scheibner. All eight tracks are in all honesty, wonderful, well-crafted and well produced New Age pop songs. Highlights for me include “April Sky.” This is an ultra-catchy dance / pop song that focuses on the stars and the planets and the guidance and hope they give us. A fabulous track which won the Best New Age Pop/Crossover Song by New Age Notes Radio Music Awards 2024.
Another highlight is “More of This.” A dance track which this time adds in a disco vibe. Lyrically it focuses on being happy and peaceful. The song reached #1 on the January 2024 One World Music Radio Top 100 Singles Chart and won Best New Age Electronic Song by New Age Notes Radio Music Awards 2024.
Lyrically the themes of the album are positivity and gratitude. However, these are not “throw away” lyrics. The intricate, yet memorable lines worm their way into your brain and stay there long after the music has stopped.
Vocally, the album features Corrie and Mary voices which meld gloriously together. The harmonies throughout the album are “on point” and are a highlight and trademark of the band. Think of a mix between Fleetwood Mac and The Bee Gees.
Lyrically and musically the whole album engenders a positive, uplifting feeling for the listener. It wraps itself around you and leaves you with a warm, happy feeling. 100% recommended.
The Song Gardeners will release their second album, Sonic Landscape, on July 19, 2024.

New Age Vocal Review: The Song Gardners-Sonic Landscape
Release Date: July 19, 2024
Label: Honey Spun Records
The Song Gardeners, singer/songwriter Corrie Dunn (vocals, piano, guitar), and singer/songwriter Mary Gospe (vocals, guitar, percussion), are all set to release their second album Sonic Landscape. As I recall from their first album and covering many track releases, they are talented individuals who can play instruments and sing very well. For me, that sets the stage for another enjoyable listen.
“Present” starts things with some very funky bass lines. Corrie sings, “Feel the energy be present with me.” The ladies have lovely voices and are solid musicians. After one track, I am already feeling energized and refreshed.
“Send Love to Everyone (Heal the Divide)” is a great message to the world; as Mary sings, “We heal the divide when we stop taking sides.” The guitar is excellent, with a layer of keys for more color and texture. The vocals are clear, inviting, and believable. Great music and important lyrics. When they harmonize at the end of the track, it’s a thing of beauty.
“Talking to Trees” will get you to tune in and tune out. It’s an earthy Mother Nature meets music in the middle, so our humanity realizes our intrinsic connection to the earth we walk on. One line goes, “Talking to trees, I feel your roots reverberating under me.” The music is soft and flowing; as you absorb the words and their meanings, they should hold some meaning for us all. It is one of my favorites for all the reasons I just mentioned.
“More of This” begins with congas and a funky bass line. The bass leads the way as the other instruments and some good percussion join the party. One prolific line struck me: “The future is ours to create.” There is something pure and true about the way they present these songs, and the rhythms are irresistible. Yes, I want some “More of This” as they sing “happiness, joy, and bliss.”
“Future Lives” begins again with that strong bass line leading the way. I am thinking how different it is to hear people singing to new age-based music and how much I enjoy it because of what the ladies convey in every song. The flow continues one track after another, going from strength to strength.
“April Sky” is a song about our vast universe and how you can look at the sky day or night and think about all the wonders there to amaze and delight your heart and soul. It gives you gratitude to be alive, and you feel safe and protected under the “April Sky,” where constellations align. It is about hope and vision right before us for the taking. The music continues to feel right, accompanying the vocals, a perfect match so you can focus on all of it at once.
“The Little Things” matter the most and make the world a better place; the words ring true as a solid percussion gets behind the beautiful harmonizing that makes it feel authentic to the heart. A simple and direct message set to a jazz-inflected backdrop. It has a perfect melody and is very catchy.
“Within” closes out this consistent and beautiful recording. They remind you it all begins within for you to speak your truth as the music flows nicely and purposefully, and the lyrics hit home with words like gratitude, imagination, and curiosity, bringing your spirit and who you are to the surface. Nothing is hypothetical; it is just music to soothe your soul and words of validation. It’s simply perfect, just like all the other tracks. The music always seems to fit just right to complement all the vocals. Smooth and precise, the music gives the lyrics room to breathe and take shape.
It could be your Sonic Landscape. After absorbing all the sounds and messages, it makes sense to think about that momentarily. Give it a try; You will find enjoyment in many ways. I sure did.

True Joy Lies In Giving Whatever Is Your Best To The World – Reflections On ‘Sonic Landscape’
‘Sonic Landscape’ is an inspiring release for me, especially because this album has gathered a collection of my favorite songs that The Song Gardeners have created throughout their journey. Naturally, it felt awesome for me when I heard these songs in fresh formats they have adopted for the sake of entering this collection. Every new release by The Song Gardeners raises the bar of expectations, setting new standards that they inevitably surpass with subsequent releases.
The Song Gardeners’ tagline, “Music With A Message,” has brought them universal fame, and each of their musical offerings is coupled with a powerful mission for their followers. In the world of music production, Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe create a versatile and brilliant team, becoming the leaders in the genre of conscious, new age, and inspirational music. The hallmarks of their sonic world are uplifting messages, spiritual themes, and motivating personal growth.
Now The Song Gardeners are releasing their second album, ‘Sonic Landscape’, consisting of eight singles released previously, which producer David Scheibner has specially remastered to heighten the audience’s listening experience. These songs make a plea to the hearer’s heart to share their exceptional gifts with the world. The auditory treat empowers you to live from a place of gratitude, harnessing your internal guidance. If you are new to the duo’s musical repertoire, listening to this album will make you instantly fall in love with their musical prowess.
What Is In Store In The Tracks?
1. Present
The first song is a grand opening to the wealth of musical experience the album stores in its tunes. The spirit of the message echoes the concept of ‘mindfulness’ advocated by Buddhism, Taoism, and some modern mindfulness practices. The notes move you to discover a deep connection with the world around you, characterized by gratitude and guidance from within.
2. Send Love to Everyone (Heal The Divide)
Incidentally, the second track is the most recent single the band has composed. The song makes a plea to open hearts and heal the divisions in the world to reinvent a place of gratitude and compassion for all life on this earth. The second track is all the more lovable, thanks to the special contributions by Mary’s husband, Mike Gospe (on mandolin), and son, singer-songwriter Zach Gospe, on backing vocals.
3. Talking to Trees
Many of life’s precious gifts are connected to the life-sustaining forces known as ‘trees.’ Therefore, gratitude towards trees is not merely an option but an obligation that binds us all. The mellow, ambient music in this track is soothing and reinforces the values of love and gratefulness.
4. More of This
The fourth track is an admirable composition for its connection with the ideas of joy, peace, love, harmony, and unity. The elements of a funky pop dance song and disco make it all the more interesting. So, you start wishing for more good things in life, not only for yourself but for all life on this earth.
5. Future Lives
What the future holds for us and for the generations that will succeed us is uncertain. However, ‘Hope’ is something that will keep the light glowing in our hearts while we continue to travel with time. The tunes of this joyous song remind us that we must remain as curious as a child to embrace our authentic selves and share whatever is our best with the world.
6. April Sky
The notes for this pop dance song read that the composition is meant to celebrate our celestial neighbors, thanking the beautiful sights of the Milky Way Galaxy and the astrological guidance we get from the stars, constellations, and planets.
7. The Little Things
The music style of the seventh track ‘The Little Things’ is a gospel-inspired one. There are a lot of ‘little things’ in this world that make this earth a better place to live for all of us and we are obliged to thank them. This is a robust and joyful song you will find fresh every time you come back to it.
8. Within
There can’t be a better title for the closing song of this album that reminds us of the essence of all spiritual pursuits: to listen to our inner voice (intuition) and discover the unique gifts contained within us like love, compassion, and gratitude. The song feels dreamy with the atmospheric elements heightening its impact.
Take Away
Every new release by The Song Gardeners raises the bar of expectations, setting new standards that they inevitably surpass with subsequent releases. The group’s passion for inspiring the world with meaningful messages is truly inspiring. ‘Sonic Landscape’ embodies this dedication in both letter and spirit. This album serves as a companion for lifting your spirits and staying true to your commitment to others. It’s an exceptional work by them, and I’m confident you’ll share my sentiments when you listen to these songs.

Send Love to Everyone (Heal the Divide)
By
The Song Gardeners
Written by

The Song Gardeners are a prolific band; some may call their music new age, some new age pop, personally I think they are one of the most inventive and artistic bands around in both of those genres, and with this new single Send Love to Everyone (Heal the Divide), they have trod a path that could well take some of us back to the 60’s.
In a world riddled with war, fear, miss information and ignorance, we need an anthem, and I truly believe that this maybe it, as always on this planet it’s a minority that are spoiling the fruits and glory of life for the majority of us, so yes, lets drop the baggage and send love to everyone.
This new single therefore should be a universal panacea to bring a global truism to Gaia, the flow and energy of the song takes us back to the hippy era with some sublime musicianship, and is the closest that The Song Gardeners have thus far got towards a rock song.
Quality performances can be heard on this mantra of peace and love by Zach Gospe (Mary’s Son) with sublime harmonic vocals; Mike Gospe (Mary’s Husband) on Mandolin, James Butler in the rhythm section, and the guitar from David Scheibner was simply lush and so redolent of the subject matter, and the inter changeable magic that both Gospe and Dunn bring to the table on vocals is of the highest order.
I am totally enamoured with this track and I’m going to play the socks off of it, perhaps we need to hire The Song Gardeners to start a global like event in the same way Geldof did with Band Aid, I’d put my hand up right away to sing on the song, and I am sure Chrissie would too, so please make sure you add this song to a playlist of your choice, better still go online and buy it, it is truly awesome, so make Send Love to Everyone (Heal the Divide) by The Song Gardeners a massive global sensation, it certainly deserves it, and the world needs it now more than ever, this creation needs to be a viral sensation today!

Melodic Messages of Peace: Exploring ‘Send Love to Everyone’ (Heal the Divide)
Music often serves as a harbinger of peace, carrying messages of unity and understanding across divides. “Send Love to Everyone (Heal the Divide)” by The Song Gardeners stands as an exemplar of this trend, embodying the role music plays in fostering peace and harmony. In a world fraught with chaos and conflict, this single serves as a rallying cry for unity and compassion.
Theme and setting
The repetitive yet profound message of sending love and peace to everyone, regardless of their actions, is delivered in a chant-like fashion that resonates deeply with the listener. The eclectic blend of instruments and intensifying vocal harmonies creates a captivating atmosphere, drawing the audience into the song’s message of healing division.
Song Writers
Written by Mary Gospe and Corrie Dunn, the song originated from a moment of meditation, lending it authenticity and sincerity that shines through in every verse and chorus. With Mary and Corrie alternating on lead and backing vocals, supported by the addition of Zach Gospe’s vocals and Mike Gospe’s mandolin, the song achieves a rich, textured sound reminiscent of the live band vibe of the 60s.
Inclusivity and connection
The inclusion of a call-and-response outro adds an engaging dynamic to the song, further reinforcing its message of inclusivity and connection. James Butler’s contribution with the drums, percussion, bass, and synth, along with David Scheibner’s guitar, synth, and percussion, rounds out the instrumentation, creating a well-crafted musical experience.
Lyrics and composition
The lyrics of “Send Love to Everyone” resonate with a powerful message of reconciliation and empathy. Through repetition and simplicity, the song emphasizes the universal act of sending love and peace to all, regardless of past actions. It advocates for healing the divides that separate us by urging listeners to transcend the urge to take sides and instead extend love and peace to everyone. The instrumental break provides a moment for reflection on this profound message, while the repetition of the verses reinforces the importance of unity and compassion. The song’s closing lines, coupled with the gentle encouragement to “send your love to everyone” as a means to heal, encapsulate its central theme of fostering harmony and understanding in a divided world.

Single Review by New Age CD and New Age Notes Radio Staff
Aaah. “What the world needs now. . .is love. . .sweet love. . .”
Co-written by Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe, a.k.a. The Song Gardeners, “Send Love to Everyone (Heal the Divide),” is the duo’s new single. The piece is an inspiring appeal for love, peace, and unity in the world.
“Send peace to everyone
Send peace to everyone
Open your heart, hold out your hand
Send peace throughout the land
We heal the divide when we stop taking sides. . .”
Indeed. What I like best about The Song Gardeners’ musical creations, besides their always uplifting lyrics, is the way Corrie and Mary’s vocals blend so seamlessly and harmoniously. Their “New Age Pop” songs are always spirit-elevating and always speak to the bigger picture.
I’ve often commented that they are somewhat like the “Peter, Paul, & Mary” of our time. So, not surprisingly, “Send Love to Everyone” has a 60s kind of vibe. Along with the always stellar vocalizations, and the meditative chant-like ambiance, here we have mandolin (Mike Gospe), drums percussion, bass and synth (James Butler), guitar, synth, and percussion (David Scheibner). Mary’s son, Zach Gospe, added some cool vocal harmonies to the end of the song. A brief instrumental break in the middle of the song gives the listener a moment to pause and reflect on the repeating and attendant message.
Here we have a pressing call to open arms, open and warm hearts, and world peace. Can we heal the divide? Have a listen and decide for yourself. Meanwhile, please send love to everyone.

"Send Love to Everyone (Heal the Divide)" Review - by Jan Mawdesley, Blue Wolf Reviews
https://bluewolf-reviews.com/music/world/send-love-to-everyone-heal-the-divide/
Simple words, combined with a simple melody create a powerful message delivered by The Song Gardeners, Mary Gospe and Corrie Dunn, in their latest single release Send Love To Everyone (Heal the Divide).
Reminiscent of the 1960’s and ‘70’s peace movement, when the folk ballad style of protest song became popular, many singers and songwriters used the power of music to send a strong message for peace and love in the world of then: it is truly a sorry reflection that there is still the need to put into the healing vibration of music, what is now a time old plea for World love.
Mary Gospe and Corrie Dunn have created a delightful style in what could be considered a Folk New Age Pop Fusion in this multi layered single of blended harmonies and gentle instrumental additions.
The words, ‘Send love to everyone. We heal the divide when we stop taking sides,’ are in the form of a mantra that can be used at any time of the day, with the entire set of lyrics, also able to be used as a form of longer meditation or chant.
The first verse was sent to Mary during meditation, the second was written by Corrie to compliment the sentiment sent from the Divine. Layering and additional vocals have been added by Zach Gospe, with Mike Gospe on mandolin, James Butler on percussion and David Schreiber on synth and guitar.
Send Love To Everyone is a must add to your collection.

There comes a time when an artist or artists, manifest a new creation that is simply idyllic in every aspect, incredibly chilled in tone, and harmonically superior, this describes the latest single from The Song Gardeners perfectly; in fact I personally rate this to be my new personal favourite of theirs.
The slow build here is sublime, the chord changes timed to perfection, and the harmonious vocals of Corrie Dunn are utterly beautiful, as indeed are the soul filled harmonies of her partner in music Mary Gospe.
The perfect compositional structure would take me back to perhaps the late ‘90’s pop ballads, with a perfectly balanced arrangement, and vocally exceptional presentation, and composed with a high class mix of major and minor refrains, in a similar way with which the band Crowded House used to do back in the day.
I must also mention the excellent acoustic guitar performance by David Scheibner, his contribution gave the whole song a quite breath taking level of tranquillity and style, and as such I truly believe that Talking To Trees by The Song Gardeners is the best work thus far by the band, and deserves much acclaim along the way, perhaps even a very high chart placement, it certainly deserves it.
The Song Gardeners also have a lyric video for the single too, it is like a virtual forest bathing experience and you can find that here:
"Talking To Trees" Review - by Vivek Kumar, New Music Alert
No discussion on the New Age Pop genre can do justice to the topic without citing the contribution of The Song Gardeners. As composers, this versatile team possesses enviable skills. Their new single “Talking To Trees” is a new feather added to their crown of topline accomplishments.
The songwriter’s passionate conversation with the tree is awe inspiring in surfacing the irrefutable importance of trees (nature) in the life on this earth. Nature lovers and environment campaigners are sure to be enthralled by the theme and message of the lyrics. Through this intimate dialogue accompanied by the most suitable music, Corrie M. Dunn draws inspiration from the tree for the entire gamut of the audience.
Further, Mary Gospe’s soulful harmonies, James Butler’s synths and bass, and David Scheibner’s guitars, synths, and percussion together help heighten the impact the team wants to leave on the listeners.
This poem, “Talking to Trees,” beautifully captures the essence of the connection between nature and the human experience. The imagery and language used create a vivid and sensory-rich portrayal of the interaction with trees and the natural world.
Impactful moments with the song . . .
The opening lines set a serene atmosphere, invoking the gentle sway of leaves in the wind and the rhythmic harmony of branches. The metaphor of the forest playing a divine melody adds a spiritual dimension to the scene, suggesting a profound connection between the speaker and nature.
The repetition of the refrain, “Talking to trees,” serves as a powerful anchor throughout the poem, emphasizing the theme of communication and communion with nature. The lines “I feel your roots reverberating under me” and “I listen as you answer back in harmony” express a deep sense of connection, as if the trees possess a language that resonates with the speaker’s own emotions.
The inclusion of sunlight filtering through the trees and the description of the trees spreading love to the Earth contribute to a sense of reverence for nature. The song beautifully portrays the idea that nature serves as a source of inspiration, wisdom, and life force energy.
The rhythmic flow of the song and the use of concise and evocative language contribute to its overall effectiveness. The structure with repeated stanzas and refrains enhances the musical quality of the single, reinforcing the theme of harmony between humans and nature.
Take away
“Talking to Trees” celebrates the profound connection between humanity and the natural world. It successfully conveys a sense of reverence, awe, and gratitude for the beauty and wisdom found in the simple act of conversing with trees.
Listening to The Song Gardeners’ new single “Talking To Trees” is a sure way to stay inspired by a GREEN theme in music. I felt the vibes of the song peacefully stirring the soul and infusing the message of love for nature. I am sure you will share this feeling while listening to the song. The song instantly reminds me of the lines of the popular Christmas Carol, “There is a song in the air; There is Love everywhere.” The whole team of The Song Gardeners deserves a big applause for this masterly work!

Trees are special and different, as are songs from The Song Gardeners. The Song Gardeners, a “New Age pop” duo based in California, are at the forefront of the New Age Pop genre. They are well-known for their refreshing, well-crafted vocal songs with impressive harmonies and empowering messages. James Butler provides synths and bass, and David Scheibner contributes guitars, synths, and percussion on the track.
Trees are special for many reasons, but mainly because of their vital role in maintaining ecological balance, supporting life, and offering a wide range of benefits to both the environment and human society. Trees evoke a sense of affinity and well-being. Spending time in natural settings with trees has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and improve well-being.
The connection between people and trees is well-studied and multifaceted, encompassing physical, emotional, and cultural dimensions. The calming effect of trees is well documented and promotes a mindful connection along with a sense of deep peace. This bond between people and trees is deeply ingrained in human history and has continued throughout the eons to be a source of inspiration and comfort to many individuals.
The Song Gardeners compositions always include beautiful, thought-provoking lyrics. “Talking to Trees” doesn’t disappoint:
“Whispering wind through the leaves as they sing
Branches keep time with the thoughts on my mind
The forest plays a divine melody
As we tune in, tune out our hopes and dreams. . .”
The vibe of the song from the very first notes and throughout, is relaxed, sweet, and mellow, and reminds us to slow down, be mindfully present to the moment, get grounded, and feel the universal energy that flows through all. One thing The Song Gardeners do best is their amazing vocal harmonies. The acoustic guitars and soft synths also add an amazing quality to this enjoyable track. This is beautiful in every way.

“More Of This” by The Song Gardeners
Single Review by New Age CD and New Age Notes Radio Staff
The Song Gardeners, if you’ve never heard of them, are a dynamic musical duo which includes California based singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe.
They are at the forefront of what we can call the “New Age Pop” genre. Their music is a decidedly cool mix of well-crafted chill and pop with funky grooves, along with uplifting and empowering lyrics.
Their new single, “More Of This,” is a fun, upbeat song that invites the listener to focus on the important things in life. What do you cherish? Place your attention there and create more of it.
The piece opens with a percussive beat that will make you want to get up and dance, featuring bongos, hi-hat, and whimsical chimes followed by a grooving bass line underneath, light clapping, and synth. Writer and lead vocalist Mary Gospe sings the lyric, “more of this,” before recounting some of the simple things people should cherish in life, like holding hands, a lover’s kiss, the warm sun, a hug. And most importantly, we are reminded to release the past and just enjoy the moment.
“Here’s our intention, here’s our ask. . .
More of this, please
More of this, ooohhhh
Make a wish please
For more of this
Peace, love and unity – feel into the energy
Peace, love and harmony – feel into the energy
Feel into the energy – peace, love and harmony, harmony. . .
More of this, please. . .”
Speaking of harmony, the vocal harmonies between Mary and Corrie are always outstanding, but particularly here. Along with James Butler’s drums, percussion, bass, and synth, plus David Scheibner’s guitar, and additional synths, indeed, we find ourselves wanting more of this. This is one that sticks in your head long after the music stops. Very nicely done. Again.

In a world ravaged by pandemics, wars, and uncertainty on all fronts, every heart seeks and prays for peace, unity, and happiness. The Song Gardeners’ creation “More Of This” echoes this popular sentiment and rings in our ears as Humanity’s Anthem. Such a well-crafted song impregnated with an empowering message is not new to them. The Song Gardeners are among the champions of the New Age Pop Genre.
More of This: Our wishes reverberating in the air
The funky pop dance song “More of This” is replete with disco elements that can rouse any listener to rapture. The electrifying beats of bongos, hit-hat, and chimes, in perfect combination with claps and synth, create a WOW effect in the listener. Mary Gospe has composed the lyrics and has championed the song’s music besides contributing her lead and backing vocals.
The song is themed on wishing for more of the good things in life. A grateful heart thanks life for all the gifts received. Nice things in life make our existence more interesting and enjoyable and hence we seek them in big measures again and again to make the most of life. In the process, the song desires to find a world filled with freedom, peace, love, unity, harmony, happiness, joy, and bliss. The phrase “More of This” repeats and recurs throughout the song and adds a special charm to the whole idea behind the lyrics and music.
The lyrics are simple but are saturated with a profound theme and content. Gospe deserves special applause for inventing the most suitable vehicle for this inspiring theme in New Age Pop. Probably because she is the mastermind behind the lyrics and music, she could ensure that they complement each other and impact the fans powerfully.
Before you go . . .
The most wonderful theme of the song and the deployment of the pop elements in a suitable way to supplement the theme make “More of This” a must-list song for everyone aspiring to celebrate life. Pop lovers will find this single a unique member of their collection with some rare and interesting features. The exhilarating feeling you discover in the song makes you want to listen to it repeatedly. The Song Gardeners have done a fantastic job with the lyrics and music of the song and the impact the song can deliver is superb, making it one of the most laudable creations in the New Age Pop genre.

Reviews of the single “Future Lives” – written by Corrie Dunn & Mary Gospe
"Future Lives" Review by BT Fasmer, New Age Music Guide
In October 2021, they released their debut album, People Passing Through. They have since then released five singles; Within, Present, Little Things and April Sky.
Future Lives
Future Lives starts with an ultra-light rhythm and a Rhodes piano. The early 80s sound gives the melody a brilliant flow that fits well with the “historical” aspects of the song; To look forward, we first have to look back. In terms of lyrics, Future Lives is a three-part song, dealing with childhood and youth to middle adulthood and, finally, the mature, “advice-giving” stage. Corrie M. Dunn’s (lead) and Mary Gospe’s vocals are fantastic as always.
Early on, the following philosophical question gives food for thought: “Look at my fingers fly, can you tell me where I’m going? / Is there a reason why so many people lost on the journey?” In other words; young people need guidance. It is incredibly important; Without love and support, it is easy to lose track of everything that matters. The song urges us “not so young” to “pass on what we have learned”.
As children and youngsters, we cannot wait to reach maturity. Then suddenly we are there, “Glowing, growing, knowing who I’m meant to be”. It is a journey filled with ups and downs, and The Song Gardeners captures it all in less than five minutes.
The “Walking the line, speaking your mind, keeping the time” is something to chew on. It shows that adult life requires both the ability to adhere to rules and deadlines, yet we also have to let our voice be heard. Again, I’m amazed by The Song Gardener’s sincere and well-crafted poetry.
The sound design on Future Lives is tremendous! James Butler’s synths, bass and drum beats, plus David Scheibner’s guitars, synths and production, ensure that all focus is on the song’s message. But there are so many technical details to appreciate too. The most striking is intense end-part. Thanks to hyper-modern synths and arrangements, we seem to get a glimpse of the future – and it sounds wonderful!
I like how the song underlines the responsibility of the elders, and that young people are open to receive well-meaning advice. It might take some time for the message to get through, but future lives depend on it. The final lyric, “Falling down on your face, is like falling into Grace” is meant as an homage to trying over and over until you get it right.
In conclusion: “We are drowning in information but starved for knowledge,” John Naisbitt said. Listening to The Song Gardeners’ Future Lives, we sense why. Sharing information often comes through as empty words, while passing on knowledge is something we can trust and guide by. Future Lives is less than five minutes long, but the amount of life wisdom and loving advice that it contains is nothing short of incredible!
It feels natural to focus on the deeper meaning of Future Lives. Here the lyrics make the song. But I recommend listening to it once only paying attention to the melody and arrangement. First, you will notice the jazzy groove and light rhythm, but from that rises a sound that is unique and fresh. The melody is catchy and is constantly developing. It is impossible to tell where this is going to end. The mid-section with piano and synths, which lays the foundation for the “falling down on your face” part, is very colorful. And wow, the fade-out is amazing!
We don’t know what the future holds, but one thing is certain; The better prepared the next generation is, the easier their lives will be. The Song Gardeners’ Future Lives shows us how to share knowledge with young people without sounding like a dinosaur. It is as simple as “Loving, hugging, holding on to a dream”.

The Song Gardeners is a captivating musical group consisting of the California-based, multi-talented duo, Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe. They have combined their musical prowess and passion to create unique and uplifting musical experiences that have universal appeal.
Both Corrie and Mary are multi-talented singer-songwriters, vocalists, and musicians who inspire positive change through their music. Their music blends various genres, including folk, acoustic, and world music, resulting in a refreshing and soulful sound that embraces listeners with warmth and sincerity. The core of their musical style lies in the fusion of enchanting melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and harmonious vocals that beautifully complement each other.
One of the group’s most compelling traits is their ability to create music that not only touches hearts but also empowers individuals to take positive, forward moving actions in life. The themes found in their lyrical songs act as seeds of inspiration, encouraging listeners to develop a deeper understanding of their relationship with themselves, each other, and the planet.
So, The Song Gardeners’ music is not merely an artistic expression but also a catalyst for positive change. Their lyrics carry messages of hope, urging people to recognize the power they have in making a difference on individual levels as well as in the world.
Their new single, “Future Lives,” delves into three main stages of life. The song goes from birth to early childhood, and speaks to the innocence and curiosity about life that phase encompasses, to the middle adulthood stage where people try to figure out who they are and what they’re doing here, and then on to the mature adult phase where our we can pass on our accumulated wisdom to future generations.
“Walking the line, speaking your mind, keeping the time. . .
A new generation taking over; letting it be, keeping it free
From the walls of conventionality.”
The first two verses are characterized by a jazzy groove consisting of keyboards, bass, and Corrie’s lovely, heartfelt vocals which touch the soul and lead us in. Then the musical theme shifts to a more complex pattern, rhythm, and melody, representing the maturity phase of life.
“Some rules never change, we are born innocent
As the years carry us from stage to stage
There’s no turning back, so let’s pass on what we’ve learned to the future lives.”
The piece has broad appeal and features Corrie on lead vocals and piano with Mary singing beautiful harmonies. James Butler performs on synths and contributes bass/drumbeats. Producer David Scheibner adds guitars and synths to the wonderful mix. “Future Lives” sparkles in all aspects of the present. Artistically brilliant.

"Future Lives" review - by Steve Sheppard, One World Music Radio
https://stevesheppardmusicreviews.blogspot.com/2023/08/future-lives-by-song-gardeners.html
I have listened to The Song Gardeners for some years now, each time I am pleasantly delighted with their efforts, but with this new single entitled Future Lives, I truly believe they haven’t just created another future hit single, but may well have brought into this world their finest work yet, and in doing so birthed a commercially viable composition of great quality as well.
There is simply everything to love about this new song, its lyrics of truth as we grow, age and mature and reflect as the years carry us from stage to stage.
“There’s no turning back, so let’s pass on what we’ve learned to the future lives.” And the conclusion “Walking the line, speaking your mind, keeping the time, a new generation taking over; letting it be, keeping it free from the walls of conventionality.” Once more this is superior writing from the ladies of empowerment.
Now we look at this whole wonderful gem with a musical eye, and I can delight in the soulful, almost funky and slightly jazzy ethics here, it reminded me a lot of Boz Scaggs in his golden days and a song called Vanishing Point. Dunn and Gospe have achieved it again, with soulful harmonies, lush piano segments, and blissfully wise lyrics.
I am going to stick my neck out here, I believe this to be the best song that The Song Gardeners have ever created, and I would be astounded if this didn’t reach number one and win an award, it is that good, so please, please show some truly good taste and make Future Lives by The Song Gardeners part of your musical collections as soon as you can.

Single Review—Future Lives by The Song Gardeners
“What Is So Beautiful About Life” – A Narrative of Human Life For The Future
With all its unpredictability and disenchantment, human life is nevertheless so beautiful. During their lifetime, every human gets to paint a distinctive picture on the canvas of life. What results is a scintillating image, unique in every regard that evokes awe and wonder. Each one’s life might be a highly personal experience, but the lessons learned from life are passed on through human generations.
The Song Gardeners’ Single “Future Lives” deals with the three stages of human life. The curious Phase of a child, the discovering phase of a youth, and the matured phase of a grown-up person – are all replete with a galaxy of interesting experiences. During the third and final phase of life, the individual who is a bundle of memories leaves back the treasure of wisdom to enrich the lives of the succeeding generations. So, the theme of the song is indeed rare and brilliant.
As the song begins, the keyboard and bass do a teamwork to set up a jazzy groove and Corrie Dunn’s lead vocals bestow an exceptional charm to the production. The songwriter explains the rules and courses of life in the lines,
“Some rules never change, we are born innocent
As the years carry us from stage to stage
There’s no turning back, so let’s pass on what we’ve learned to the future lives.”
As the song progresses to the outro section, there is a shift in the musical theme and the audience is enthralled by a complex rhythmic melody that signifies the experiences and maturity gained over the years.
Choosing 4-part harmony to render the final lyric “Falling down on your face, is like falling into Grace” Corrie and Mary pay homage to all humans for successfully trying until they get life right. The song’s philosophy emphasizes that life as an experience is equally important as the outcome. Everyone’s wisdom is a treasure that can help make future lives better.
Mary Gospe has given her best by delivering soulful harmonies. Corrie Dunn has contributed on piano and lead vocals. James Butler’s synths and bass/drum beats and David Scheibner’s ornate touches on his guitars and synths have made “Future Lives” a soul-stirring experience for the listeners.
Each element of the composition namely the concept, lyrics, tunes, instrumentals, and harmonies together play their brilliant roles in moving this single to achieve the purpose the composer has intended for the single.
Take Away
After a long search, I found this song a rare composition that helps break the monotony we have been used to in contemporary music. There is something magical about the song that penetrates deep into the core of your heart and converses intimately with your soul. I am sure, you will never be the same person after listening to the song.
Reviews of the single “April Sky” – Written by Corrie Dunn & Mary Gospe
"April Sky" Review - by BT Fasmer, New Age Music Guide
Even though our knowledge about planets, stars, and outer space grows almost by the week – much thanks to the James Webb Telescope and other NASA and international projects – we still behave as if the earth is the center of the universe. The Song Gardeners’ brand-new single April Sky urges us to look up at the night sky this coming month and take it all in. Finding and accepting one’s place in the cosmos is important to all humans, and this single guides us along. April Sky is a well-crafted, fun and upbeat song. It is yet another winner by this one-of-a-kind New Age Pop group!
The Song Gardeners, a San Francisco Bay Area band, was formed in August 2019 by singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe.
In October 2021, they released their debut album People Passing Through. They have since then released four singles; Within, Present, Little Things – and now April Sky! With a unique sound and expression, they have managed to revitalize the New Age Pop genre, something that seemed highly unlikely before Dunn and Gospe entered the stage.
April Sky
The song starts with a quite distant, analog-sounding synth. The keys that follow are loud and make the listener pay attention. There are also some nice textures in the background. Subconsciously we sense that this might be about space. The sound reminds us of Tangerine Dream and Jean-Michel Jarre. Venus and Jupiter have been especially bright these past few months, something that the first verse underline:
On the edge of the night I watch Venus rise
Bright as the moon when full
She’s a goddess of love and beauty
A celestial jewel
Mary Gospe’s lead vocal is brilliant as always. She makes the April night sky come to life, pointing out the planets and constellations. Feminine powers, here represented by Venus, guide us toward a more sustainable tomorrow. Answering YES! To Einstein’s big question: “Is the universe friendly?” suddenly seems easier.
We don’t need to guide by the stars anymore, but to millions (if not billions) across the world, they offer pointers on how to live. They make us reflect on things outside of this world that are visible yet so far away. No wonder stars played such a big part in science for the first civilizations. Notice how much The Song Gardeners manages to say with a few, carefully selected words.
The theme is magnificent:
In this April sky, constellations align
To send a message, pure and true
We’re here, they say, and if you look our way
We’ll give you guidance and direction, mmmm
Love, light and protection
Under this April sky
Moving on to the melody; it is a terrific pop tune! There is no gentle or quiet part; it is power all the way – and it is very radio-friendly. I like how the keyboard fills in and continues where the vocal left off. Towards the end, there are some “riser effects” and textures that further intensify the soundscape. April Sky seems gentle, but there is a lot of melodic forces at play here.
In conclusion: “The dark night was the first book of poetry and the constellations were the poems,” Chet Raymo said. In the modern world though, we need to be reminded about the magic that takes place above our heads. April Sky by The Song Gardeners inspires us to learn more about the star constellations and be more sensitive to how they impact our lives. We are all travelers in time and space – and in a cosmic sense, our problems and differences are insignificant. That should motivate us to be kinder to each other and treat this wonderful blue planet with respect. After all, the closest habitable planet is 4,2 lightyears away.
Each song by The Song Gardeners is deeply meaningful and inspirational. Indeed, I often have to put on “a new set of glasses” and listen to the song a few times more to pick up the many details in the production and arrangement. April Sky is one of their finest yet. Notice how they use less than a minute to take off and guide us into space. It is incredible pop craftsmanship and meticulous attention to lyrical details.
A problem we often face when talking about space is that it is so dark, cold, and unbelievably vast. But that is not an issue for The Song Gardeners; Instead of making us feel small and alone, they make us feel part of it all. That is a major accomplishment!

Single Review by New Age Notes and New Age CD Staff
The Song Gardeners, Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe, are a California-based musical duo known for their seamless harmonies, empowering lyrics, and commitment to giving back to their community and the world. Their music is a unique blend of “New Age pop,” folk, and soul, which has touched the hearts of many and continues to inspire and uplift listeners everywhere.
Their latest single, “April Sky,” is a pop dance song that celebrates the beauty of the Milky Way galaxy and the celestial bodies we see above. The stars and constellations have long guided humanity in a number of ways. The song speaks to the special “call and answer” relationship that exists between civilization and the cosmos, not only in the month of April, but eternally.
What is particularly alluring here is how Corrie and Mary blend their voices together effortlessly to create a rich, textured, and harmonious sound. The ethereal opening expands and builds nicely into a lively pop dance beat with piano, synth, guitar, bass, drums, and percussion that invites us to get up, dance joyfully, and celebrate life in all its magnificence.
Along with great lyrics, the glorious “April Sky” features Mary Gospe on lead and backing vocals, Corrie Dunn on piano and backing vocals, James Butler on synth, bass, and percussion, plus David Scheibner on guitars, drums, and synth.
“In this April sky, constellations align
To send a message, pure and true
We’re here, they say, and if you look our way
We’ll give you guidance and direction, mmmm
Love, light and protection
Under this April sky . . .

"April Sky" Review - by Steve Sheppard, One World Music Radio
https://stevesheppardmusicreviews.blogspot.com/2023/03/april-sky-by-song-gardeners.html
The Song Gardeners are a prolific symbiotic partnership that delivers constant top quality with every song manifested, with April Sky their latest release they have once again created a pop dance style song that will never leave the mind once it’s heard.
I adore stargazing; nothing thrills me more than lying in my pool in the early hours watching the galaxies above, the stars dancing their jig of many lights, and comets passing by on their voyage to nowhere. Here The Song Gardeners once more capture an anthem for that moment, in a song that is sung beautifully by Mary Gospe; her partnership with Corrie Dunn is certainly bringing into being some of the most unique styled offerings of their day.
April Sky by The Song Gardeners is going to be one of those pieces that you just can’t help but adore, written and performed with love, energised with sublime class, and written with enlightened awareness, a sure fire hit with ease for the band lies here.

A Special Tribute To Distant Neighbors Blessing Us From Above
A view of the cosmos as it appears from the earth has always inspired humans like nothing else. Down the ages, people have been looking at the sky with awe and wonder. The sights of planets, stars, meteors, and other heavenly bodies are a topic of immense interest in astronomy, astrology, philosophy, and literature.
‘April Sky’, the newest single by ‘The Song Gardeners’ draws its theme from cosmic views. As usual, the team has done a phenomenal job this time too. ‘Inspiration’ is among the foremost reasons why people subscribe to The Song Gardeners and each of their releases seems to do full justice to this expectation.
In the first place, Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe have done an exceptional job in the lyrics. I could not resist the urge to repeat the lines,
“We’ll give you guidance and direction, mmmm
Love, light and protection
Under this April sky”
Estimable descriptions of different planets and constellations refresh our connections with those celestial objects. The songwriters have drawn heavily from the traditional concepts that have guided the human perceptions of our distant neighbors. Listening to ‘April Sky’, we get to celebrate our intimate relationship with the cosmos. We always have big expectations from The Song Gardeners and they never let them fail at any cost.
The ethereal musical atmosphere created in the beginning sets a heavenly stage for the song to unfold. Once you are prepared well for the auditory treat, what takes you forward is a four-on-the-floor dance pop beat rendered in a melodious combination of piano, synth, and bassline. Gospe’s vocals and Dunn’s harmonies are at their best in this single. The meticulous composition is able to sustain our interest from the start till the end.
A lot is to be said about the teamwork evident in the production of this single. The contribution of every member of the team has helped achieve the goal the producers visualized in front of them. Gospe’s lead vocals, Dunn’s celestial harmonies, Butler’s enticing synth, percussion, and bass, and Scheibner’s tantalizing drums and guitar have all touched new watermarks tough to achieve.
Conclusion
Every aspect of ‘April Sky’ conforms to admirable standards. There seems to be a serious objective behind why The Song Gardeners have produced this single and hence it proclaims the band’s tall achievements in loud words. I especially appreciate its lyrics, tunes, vocals, harmonies, and instrumental accompaniments. Listen to it when you need some inspiration and you will have several reasons to listen to it many more times besides recommending it to your dear ones.
Reviews of the single “The Little Things” – written by Corrie M. Dunn
"The Little Things" Review - by Dyan Garris, New Age Notes & New Age CD
These days, it’s easy to get bogged down in the quagmire of daily life, so much so that we forget that it is the joyful little things in life that stack up, weave together, and add up to bring us true happiness. We just have to be mindful and remember. Here, in their sweet new single, “The Little Things,” we are invited by The Song Gardeners to do just that.
The Song Gardeners is a California based musical group, which includes singer-songwriters Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe. They’ve been shaking things up nicely for a while now with their groundbreaking “New Age Pop,” which is full of uplifting, positive, empowering messages for today’s world.
This particular single, “The Little Things,” is harmonious, flowing, and imbued with slight gospel elements from Mary Gospe’s lovely harmonies to Corrie Dunn’s beautiful lead vocal. James Butler shines here on piano, bass, and drums. David Scheibner adds his layers of melodious guitar and synths. The production by David Scheibner, is, as always, stellar. And the whole thing is wonderfully synergistic.
Some great lyrics here:
“It’s the little things. . .that put a smile on my face
It’s the little things. . .that make this world a better place
It’s the little things. . .that matter the most
Every day I count my blessings for the little things. . .”
And:
“In rocky situations
When all I need is peace
A little gratitude can change my mood
In a big way. . .”
It sure can. Now, we just need to keep that sentiment in our hearts and minds as we go about daily life.
Another well-crafted, thoughtful, uplifting, and thoroughly enjoyable new single from The Song Gardeners, “The Little Things” is available on all major streaming platforms.
As well, the award-winning band performs regularly in the San Francisco Bay Area. View upcoming shows on their website.

Mary Gospe and Corrie Dunn are back as The Song Gardeners, and as you may well expect, another outstanding new age song from one of the top bands in the genre is before us. Dunn’s lyrical pen has worked wonders on this new gift The Little Things, it brings us back to what really matters in life, and reminds us to be grateful for them.
The Song Gardener’s are a prolific band, and here on this new single I truly believe they have given us a gentle loving reminder that the bigger picture isn’t the only thing that matters.
Musically its perfect, a wonderful production and presentation, Dunn’s vocals are so very harmonious and touching, her symbiotic partnership with Gospe is nothing more than genius in motion, it has to be said also, that hats off must also go to both James Butler: piano, bass and drums, and David Scheibner: guitars and synth, their additions make this classy song even more appealing, and I am now left wondering, if this a future number one single I’m listening to, I think so, why not make it yours too.
"The Little Things" Review - Vivek Kumar, New Music Alert
Often “Little Things” Matter The Most In Our Lives – Discover Why
Leaders in the New Age Pop genre, The Song Gardeners have been giving their audience, a line of chill, pop, and groove songs imbued with powerful messages. “The Little Things” is their newest release inspired by Corrie Dunn’s friend Corinne Landphere’s art exhibit.
As we listen to the lines,
“A song from the past, the moon in the night, holding a hand that feels just right . . .
The stars in the sky, the look in your eyes when you’re happy . . .”
We feel the creators have a special purpose for this composition, evident in the lyrics, music, and mixing.
By saying, “Every day I count my blessings for the little things”, the lyricist teaches us the forgotten prayer we must always be doing in our lives.
Becoming grownups, we have been taught to focus on what we deem as “The Big Things” of life. In the process, we pay little attention to those most wonderful little things around us that are really adding some charm, purpose, and joy to our lives. This attitude at large has robbed the quality of our life.
So, “The Little Things” carries a precious message for each one of us in reminding us of the “Art of Life” which we have forgotten.
The making of “The Little Things”
Produced and mixed by David Scheibner, the team getting us “The Little Things” has done a prodigious job. Corrie Dunn’s lyrics and music sound like they are twins born together in the same womb. Mary Gospe’s harmonies have infused a bunch of inspiring gospel elements into the song. James Butler has given his best to the production of piano, bass, and drums. David Scheibner’s euphonious guitar and synths have bestowed an elegant charm to the single. All in all, we can’t pass by the song without admiring the dexterity that has gone into its making.
The A cappella section rendered by the voices of Corrie and Mary read as,
“It’s the little things that put a smile on my face,
It’s the little things that make this world a better place”
And the listener is woken up to the reality of what we have overlooked in our life.
My Reflections On The Single
I found “The Little Things” one of the best singles I have come across in my life. Both the lyrics and music are admirable and move hand in hand to drive the lesson the makers want to give their audience.
Every single line of the song deserves to be printed in gold and preserved for reminding us what life is all about and what we must really be found doing in life.
The team behind the making of “The Little Things” seem to have worked with a singular purpose in their minds that has helped make this song a masterpiece.
Take Away
Corrie Dunn’s “The Little Things”, reminds me of the lines of a popular Christmas carol
“There is a song, there is a song, there is a song in the air
There is love, there is love, there is love everywhere”.
The world is a marvelous creation of God. Love and happiness are everywhere around us. If we open up our hearts to receive the most wonderful vibrations carried by air, we are ready for a blissful experience. Little things can make our life happier and more meaningful. In reminding us of this truth, Corrie Dunn’s single stands out as a beacon light guiding the stand we need to take in our life and perception.
As a matchless creation, “The Little Things” will always deserve a special place in my heart. I am sure you will treasure it too as a precious bundle of music and philosophy.

Reviews of the single “Within” – Written by Mary Gospe, Corrie Dunn & David Scheibner
"Within" Review by Vivek Kumar, New Music Alert
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.” The Song Gardeners are on a spiritual mission to make the audience discover what lies within themselves and hence the single ‘Within’ is born.
The spiritual component of our being – hidden deep inside each one of us is often missed out in life as we get preoccupied with our past and future. Many good things in our lives stem from ‘Within’. Human values like love, gratitude, compassion, courage, resiliency, and creativity are born out of our inner spiritual being that in turn make this world a nice and meaningful place to live in. In sounding this theme in a profound way, “Within” is not just a song, but a treatise describing ‘How a human can become Divine”.
“Within” is a power-packed song moving the audience to action – to discover what lies within them and to let this understanding translate into a love of the world around them. If this movement can spread out and expand into the wider world, you and I are sure to find the world a much better place to live in.
The people behind
The Song Gardeners is a well-known music production company seen at the forefront of the New Age Pop genre. Their niche expertise lies in producing chill, pop, and groove songs that are impregnated with empowering messages. The team has dedicated some of its best resources to producing the single ‘Within’.
Mary Gospe and Corrie Dunn have given the lyrics for this song. She is also the lead vocalist and Corrie Dunn joins her by delivering harmonies. David Scheibner’s guitars and synth, and James Butler’s bass and keys bring the production to vibrant existence.
A walk-through “Within”
The song opens with brisk rhythmic notes. The composer has ably sustained the tempo throughout the song keeping the listener well focused on the lyrics. Gospe’s magical voice keeps the listener immersed in the theme the producers want to drive through the song. The careful amalgamation of instrumental melodies helps achieve a symphonic effect. On the whole, the song makers have been able to create a wow effect in the audience.
Gospe’s energetic delivery of the lyrics adds a rare kind of charm to the song. Dunn’s harmonies bestow the much-needed filling effect ably supporting Gospe’s efforts. Both of them have together achieved the effect that only a professionally experienced orchestra can produce.
Mary Gospe and Corrie Dunn need a special appreciation not only for dedicating their voices to the single but also for their profoundly meaningful lyrics that convey the theme in an imposing tone. Since the authors of the song have sung it themselves, they could deliver it with the same sentiments and feeling with which they penned the song.
This time, The Song Gardeners have chosen rather a deeply spiritual theme and have opted to give it a serious kind of treatment. The energies of the new age pop genre have been utilized meticulously well in this composition to command the rapt attention of the audience. When the song comes to a close, you hardly believe that the four minutes duration has elapsed.
Final word
As the song closes, the author makes a clarion call to humanity in these words, “The Love you feel inside is what you bring to the world, feel it now . . . within.” The theme of the song is profound and the treatment is prolific. As my first listening of the song closed, I felt a deep urge to visit the creators of “Within” to appreciate them personally for the stupendous feat they have achieved in this song.
Often we need some motivation to stay positive and to give our best to the world. In achieving this mission with each of its audience, “Within” has journeyed miles ahead in purpose and deployment winning over the galaxy of songs that are its contemporaries.
I will say listening to this song is one of the best investments you make of your time!

Within By The Song Gardeners
Written by Steve Sheppard
The Song Gardeners are an inspirational new age band; they have literally changed the course of the genre over the last few years with their upbeat, almost pop mantra style, with many hits singles and a superb debut album, they are now trail blazers for this type of music. Here once more they walk the path of brilliance with a new single entitled Within.
It’s always worth noting the lyrics on a Song Gardeners release, they are as usual as inspirational as the music itself, the words that resonated with me were, “it all begins with gratitude, it all begins with forgiveness and compassion”, never a truer word said.
Within by The Song Gardeners is a bright, positive new offering by the band, one that is destined for a super high chart spot, this new single should be played as a positive mantra each morning before the day begins, sublime work from the band indeed.
"Within" - Review by Dyan Garris, New Age CD & New Age Notes Radio
The Song Gardeners continue to “bring it” in the area of “New Age Pop,” with their newest “groovy” vocal release, “Within.” The Song Gardeners are a San Francisco based musical group consisting of singer-songwriters and vocalists, Mary Gospe and Corrie Dunn, plus David Scheibner (guitars, synth). Here, we have the addition of James Butler on bass and keys.
Mary takes the lead on “Within” with her “sweet as honey” vocals pouring love gently onto us, while Corrie Dunn creates truly outstanding harmonies with her ethereal backing vocals. Production, as always, is stellar. Warm, dreamy, and atmospheric, with a nice chill beat, the listener is invited to go within and live with love, gratitude, compassion, and courage to speak the truth. In turn, we are invited to shine those
authentic, positive emotions out into the world. “The love you feel inside is what you bring to the
world, feel it now. . .within. . .”
“It all begins within
The feelings and the healing
It all begins within, gratitude. . .”
At 4:12, this is a good length for this heart-warming, empowering, spiritually relevant song. And like all their creations, “Within” is beautiful and timeless, although this one is particularly so. Excellent.

Present By The Song Gardeners
Written by Steve Sheppard
https://stevesheppardmusicreviews.blogspot.com/2022/04/present-by-song-gardeners.html
This is a song that sings loudly about everything I have believed for some years, being present and the now, it is the only thing that really matters, as it is the only real thing you ever will have.
Present is another in the line of sublime songs by one of the best New Age music bands on the planet in The Song Gardeners, and Present is a fantastic example of why they are just so popular with fans the world over.
Purposeful meaningful lyrics can be found here, and perfectly sung by the sensitive but flowing vocals of Corrie Dunn, while we must not forget the wonderfully funky bass line courtesy of James Butler, and the harmonic convergence of brilliance by Mary Gospe, all of which will go to make up another huge hit single for the band.
"Present" Review - BT Fasmer, New Age Music Guide
When we constantly make plans, worry or reflect about things in the past or future, it is easy to get lost in our own thoughts. We lose track of the here-and-now. The Song Gardeners’ upcoming single Present – to be released on April 12, reminds us to focus and be one with the moment. It is an energetic, catchy and highly accessible New Age Pop song that inspires from the very first listen.
The Song Gardeners, a San Francisco Bay Area band, was formed in August 2019 by singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe. In October last year, they released their debut album. In my review, I wrote that: “When listening to People Passing Through, one can’t help focusing on the songs’ meaning and the optimistic, feel-good atmosphere. But beneath all of that are eight rock -solid pop melodies with a charming touch of New Age music. It is a sound that paves the way for New Age pop in the 2020s, which seemed very unlikely before this band entered the stage.”
Present
Present starts with a light rhythm and funky bass line. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself tapping along with the beat only 10-20 seconds into the song; the carefully crafted melody is 1980s-90s inspired pop, updated for the 2020s. The Nord keyboard sound delightfully analogue. At the same time, the lyrics are charged with New Age’s spiritual and emotional depth. It is the best of both worlds.
As with previous The Song Gardeners songs, the lyrics are highly important. This is not just a pretty melody with light singing in the background; this is music with a message:
Embracing a universal time zone
The past and the future letting go
In a world full of noise and confusion
Focus all of your senses
Breathe in the essence of calmness
Listen to what I say…
Notice how quickly Dunn and Gospe establish a “guided meditation” atmosphere, but without being dogmatic or “serious.” This has the vibe of a conversation between friends, and when you “listen to what I say” you will for sure get good advice. On the one side is the pandemonium of everyday life, on the other is a healthy, meditative state – best experienced together with someone you love. The pop sound further strengthens the friendly and playful mood.
I love how easy The Song Gardeners makes it sound. To block everything out, to forget all worries, usually requires practice. Many use years to develop a good meditation schedule. But I guess the key is, as with any new skill, to believe that it is actually possible – and the rest will follow. The lyrics help you along:
Dropping into a state of awareness
Our hearts feel the connection
Amplify communication
Listen to what I say…
Be Here, Be Now
Be One with the moment
Feel the light shine deep in your soul
Everything leads up to the “Be One with the moment,” urging us to live here and now. It is the very definition of mindfulness, combined with The Song Gardeners’ patented dose of pop.
The cover photo underlines the song’s meaning. In nature, without all the distractions of the modern world, it is easier to feel present and “breathe in the essence of calmness.” Receiving a handpicked flower, or a heather, can be like a precocious gift. This is a song about being present while being together.
The single is not just charged with meaning; it is a genuine treasure chest for the synth enthusiast! The selection of 80s sounding analogue keyboards is outstanding. I’m sure the single’s producer, David Scheibner, had a thing or two to do with that. The bass line by James Butler is also great.
Present is, in short, a fabulous first single from what hopefully becomes a new album sometime down the road, featuring The Song Gardeners’ one-of-a-kind, genre-renewing style.

“Present” Review by Dyan Garris, New Age Music Notes
Single Review by New Age CD and New Age Notes Radio Staff
It can be quite challenging in any circumstance to be in the moment, stay in the moment, and be fully present to the moment, especially these days with all that’s going on in the world. “Present,” the new single by The Song Gardeners is a “gift” to us all, inviting us to do just that. And they make it so easy.
The Song Gardeners are a California based trio, consisting of Corrie Dunn, Mary Gospe, and David Scheibner. The innovative group is at the forefront of what we can call “New Age Pop” music. I liken them to the “Peter, Paul, and Mary of our times.” “Present,” written by Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe, is an easy to listen to, melodically vocal piece with beautiful harmonies and engaging rhythms.
The song opens with a funky bass line that builds up to a cool dance groove which lasts throughout the rest of this rhythmic composition. The lyrics, as usual, are thought-provoking, encouraging us to dance joyfully through our day and truly relate to one another, rather than burying our heads in the sand or in our electronic devices.
Corrie Dunn sings lead here with her melodically soothing voice. Mary Gospe adds her lovely voice to the harmony as she joins in the chorus:
“Be Here
Be Now
Be One with the moment
Feel the light shine deep in your soul
Be Free
Be Love
Be Life in all glory
Feel the energy
Be Present with me. . .”
Aaah. . .there you have it. Simple. Just BE. It’s another winner from The Song Gardeners.

"Present" Review - Vivek Kumar, New Music Alert
Discover The Power of “Present” In Meditation And Life
‘The Song Gardeners’ are hailed as the true representatives of the New Age Pop Genre. Their expert art has helped accomplish a range of songs impregnated with powerful messages for all people looking for some real inspiration from music. ‘Present’ is one of their award-winning singles sporting a timeless and universal philosophy cast in the language you and I can comprehend easily.
As a student of Philosophy, insightful reflections on man and mind have always attracted me. When I recently stumbled upon the single “Present’, a burst of curiosity invaded me and I really could not wait to see what the song had in store for the inquisitive learner in me. When I actually set out to listen to the song, it was a lavish treat giving me much more than what I expected. Yes, the song was a double bonanza – the music is enthralling and the message is inspiring. So, ‘Present’ highly appealed to the ‘Philosopher’ as well as the ‘Music Lover’ in me.
‘Present’ is one of the precious crown jewels to the accomplishments of ‘The Song Gardeners’. Corrie M. Dunn has worked with words and music. Mary P. Gospe has joined Corrie for the words, while David Scheibner has produced and mixed the single. Corrie Dunn is also the lead vocalist for the single and plays Nord Keyboard besides delivering the backing vocals along with Mary Gospe. James Butler is on bass and keyboard and David Scheibner joins the team on guitars.
Different schools of thought teach meditation differently. ‘Present’ can as well be called a treatise on the ‘Art of Meditation’, in teaching meditation to a layman in a simple language. At the same time, when we delve deep into its message, we are awe-inspired by the profundity of the meditation strategy the author has prescribed for a beginner. Nevertheless, a seasoned meditator will find the lyrics containing an immensely deep interpretation of “What is Meditation?”
Be Here
Be Now
Be One with the moment
The essence of meditation is a single point focus to the complete exclusion of other thoughts. The lyricist enjoins the meditator to live in the ‘Present’ moment, completely free from the distractions of the world around. Meditation also involves completely excluding thoughts about the past and future. When the message is grasped clearly, meditation becomes an effortless experience.
Belonging to the pop music genre and sporting a thrilling beat all along, this single may not be a ‘Guided Meditation Exercise’. However, it is an insightful work in guiding the audience with the philosophy of meditation as well as enjoining them to live in the present to augment the power of the mind.

People Passing Through By The Song Gardeners
Written by Steve Sheppard
https://stevesheppardmusicreviews.blogspot.com/2021/10/people-passing-through-by-song-gardeners.html
The event I hoped for one day has now come to pass, and I’m listening to and writing a review of a Song Gardeners album, for a year I have been blessed with music from both Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe and we mustn’t of course forget David Scheibner, now producer, and those ever so delicious singles from them have dominated the charts for months, now they all appear on one magnificent album called, People Passing Through.
The Song Gardeners are a rarity, a new age band with a message; some may mention other bands like 2002, but they, as was once said in the Wizard of Oz, are a horse of a different colour, and certainly much different in style. This rich vein of form has revealed numerous chart hits for the band, like the quite beautiful Harmony of Contrast, a song that highlights the unique quality of beauty within each of us.
Seven hits lay within the sheets of this album and a new one too, but more of that later, one of my favourites happens to be next and called Love Is the Magic of Change, a song that contains a reminder that under the ever watchful eyes of the universe, we are one and we always will be, the song itself is bathed with an almost jazzy chilled out texture. The sultry and sensitive vocals come from Corrie Dunn, while a wonderfully fluent bass line comes from Chris Day.
Gospe is back for this next offering entitled Altered State, this soulful composition has a simply lush tapestry of tone and harmony to it, an 80’s chilled groove floats within the musical narrative. A song about the blissful sanctuaries of meditation, a place I am all too well aware of and go to each night.
Saluting the half way marker is a song that is sublime, and in my view my personal favourite off the entire album, and called Love Flows. The chord changes and the use of minor and major structures create a superb reflective song, the style is akin to a very chilled mantra, but there are some really clever nuances within this song that makes it undeniable, examples are as such, the delicate flute of Gospe, the creative piano of Dunn, and the undeniable brilliance of David Scheibner on guitar; I personally found the energies of this song quite healing and deeply peaceful.
Reveal is our next song, it is an anthem of empowerment for women of the world over, here David Scheibner’s more acoustic guitar segments add an extra dimension to this most powerful of compositions, the song has a depth of intensity that should not be ignored, it is a call for us all to stop oppression, push forward gender harmony and as the song says:
“Empower the people with freedom
To rise above life’s adversities
Empower the people with courage
To tear down the walls of indignity”
So we now find ourselves at the most important stage of the album, the title track, and of course it is called People Passing Through, it features the vocal talents of Dunn with Gospe on backing vocals. This is probably the most inventive song on the album, there is a delicious 70’s feel mixed with an almost up to date urban groove here, and all with a message that is so important, living in the moment, after all it is all we will ever have.
The penultimate track is much appreciated and called Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu, this is a Pali Buddhist chant if I remember correctly, and translated means, may all things be well, or happy. This chant can be sung or even spoken, it brings great peace, cultivates feelings of love and compassion, and as both Chrissie and I are Buddhists, this creation is truly appreciated. The major and minor energies of this track are amazing; this has to be one of the most emotive yet uplifting arrangements of this I have heard, I bow with utter appreciation to Dunn for her stunning vocals on this track.
Well we have arrived at the last song off the album, and it is the much loved Warrior of Light, what a song this is for these times of utter chaos; lies and deception, 2020 brought some of the most ugly pictures of humanity to our screens, but as the song says we need to be warriors of light, and in doing so we must not get caught up in the tumult of anger and vitriol of those who wish to control us through fear and deception; a powerful song indeed to finish with and one that ends an album that we have all been waiting for with eager anticipation for some time.
People Passing Through by The Song Gardeners is everything it should be, a collection of their best works thus far and all in one wonderful place, each of the songs on this album has a depth, intent and passion all of their own and each has been created by the artists directly from the heart to yours, bathed with unconditional love and a positive intent. People Passing Through by The Song Gardeners is a ground breaking release, and one that the ever serious collectors of sublime songs should have in their collections at all costs, and filed under music that makes you think and reflect.
The Song Gardeners – People Passing Through Review - BT Fasmer
Today marks the release of The Song Gardeners’ debut album People Passing Through. In a time of uncertainty and crisis, Mary Gospe, Corrie Dunn, and producer David Scheibner seem heaven-sent with their hopeful and inspiring music. The album contains eight songs, including seven previously-released singles plus the title track. The seed The Song Gardeners planted has grown into something profoundly inspiring and meaningful in less than two years. Even before the album was released, the band is known for having revitalized the New Age music pop genre for the 2020s – making today’s album debut a must, combining the best of pop and New Age music with a winning attitude.
The San Francisco Bay Area band, The Song Gardeners, was formed in August 2019 by singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe. The album was produced by David Scheibner and mastered by music industry icon Bernie Grundman. James Butler provided additional keyboard and synth bass, and Chris Day performed bass on three tracks. See the New Age Music Guide release-day interview with Dunn and Gospe here.
Harmony of Contrasts
After reviewing the seven singles released so far, it was fascinating to see the album’s tracklist. The overall focus is on love and harmony, with gender equality, inner peace, and the fight for positive change as notable sub-themes.
Sample the album and find it on your favorite streaming service:
Share the album on socials using this link:
newagemusic.link/the-song-gardeners-people-passing-through
Thinking of people as works of art is an eye-opening experience! Harmony of Contrast is like a three-and-a-half-minute crash course in “human artworks” and how to interpret people around you. Using art theory such as size, shape, texture, and color. Notice the many references to art and how every human on this planet is seen as a part of a “giant painting.” Talking about paintings: The one you see on the cover is called “Somewhere You Feel Free,” by Corinne Landphere, and is an homage to Tom Petty’s song “Wildflowers.”
It is easy to discredit songs dealing with “peace and love.” It somehow doesn’t feel genuine. “Love Is The Magic Of Change,” though, is the real deal. It contains an incredibly well-made soundscape, a catchy rhythm, pop textures, and a rich synth pad with a nice tremble – and Chris Day’s fantastic bass.
Altered State
If we were to label Altered State, it would be a ChillGroove/New Age Groove song. Its catchy rhythm makes the listener pay attention, and when Mary Gospe’s brilliant vocal comes on, the band has our undivided attention. Leaving this crazy world for a while and joining them in an altered state seems like a great idea!
Love Flows is a welcoming and highly optimistic pop/crossover song. The slow rhythm, steel-string guitar, and bass lay the foundation before Mary Gospe enters the stage. Her magnificent vocal makes you hang on to every word. The lyrics are about how the journey of self-discovery and love is impossible without peace.
Reveal
Reveal is, according to the band, “an invitation for women across the globe to break free of outdated patriarchal, religious and cultural norms that keep them silenced and hinder their choices and freedom of expression.” The single contains a chant sung by Gospe in Farsi, Spanish, and English. In a world still dominated by men, songs like “Reveal” are essential. It is a powerful and possibly life-changing message.
The title track, People Passing Through, is a light and laid-back song with a double meaning; it is about respecting others and living in the moment. We are to treat every day as a gift, filled with opportunities to make this world better; We are people passing through. There is also a dimension here that deals with the passing of time and legacy. Again, I’m amazed by how Gospe and Dunn manage to communicate such complex topics so effortlessly.
Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu
Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu, a Buddhist chant of happiness, is our guiding star on the next song – where we are greeted by light percussion, electric guitar, and piano. The lyrics are hopeful and inspirational, wishing spiritual awareness and good luck. The recording and mixing are outstanding; notice how the song creates a “room of sound.” It is almost hypnotic, and I find myself wishing for the music to go on and on.
Warrior of Light is an incredibly well-made and radio-friendly piece that goes straight to the listener’s heart. The way it deals with problems and issues makes me think of political songs of the 1960s and 70s. It has that same powerful “we can fix this together” attitude. As an album closer, it is just right.
In conclusion: When listening to People Passing Through by The Song Gardeners, one can’t help focusing on the songs’ meaning and the optimistic, feel-good atmosphere. But beneath all of that are eight rock-solid pop melodies with a charming touch of New Age music. It is a sound that paves the way for New Age pop in the 2020s, which seemed very unlikely before this band entered the stage. They have also shown how it is possible to cultivate a local and a global audience simultaneously.
Even though People Passing Through from a thematic perspective is a perfect match for the here-and-now, the album also has a timeless quality. Songs like Love is the Magic of Change, and Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu will spice up any quality New Age music playlist. There is a lot of life wisdom here, too, poetry that deserves to be listened to – and read – again and again:
Living each day in the moment

“People Passing Through” Album Review by Dyan Garris
“People Passing Through” by The Song Gardeners
Album Review by Dyan Garris, New Age Notes Radio, New Age CD, Zone Music Reporter (ZMR)
I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing several singles by The Song Gardeners over the past year or so. I was happy to see this album, then. The Song Gardeners are a San Francisco based trio consisting of singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe and their producer, David Scheibner.
The genre of their music is not traditionally New Age, but rather what we could call “New Age Pop.” I think I said in an earlier review they are like the Peter, Paul, and Mary of the New Age. For those who do not know, Peter, Paul, and Mary were a group from the 60s, who brought political concerns and social commentary to the forefront through song.
Sparkling vocals, carefully crafted, uplifting lyrics, exquisite harmonies, and beautiful instrumentation make The Song Gardeners’ work very compelling and enjoyable. The production – engineering, mixing, and mastering – is top-notch as well.
The brief, 33-minute album is 8 vocal tracks beginning with the wonderful, “Harmony of Contrast.” This is a cool, groovy, New Age “chill” piece that is a great opening to this album. Here we are invited into an upbeat celebration of diversity with its colorful lyrics and 70s funk rhythm infused with 80s pop. And the harmonies between Mary and Corrie are outstanding.
“Like colorful pieces in the mosaic of life
We’re each unique shapes reflecting love and light
In an infinite mural painted on a sea of glass
We can live peacefully in a harmony of contrast”
Following is “Love is the Magic of Change” featuring Corrie Dunn on synths, “sweet as honey” lead and backing vocals, Mary Gospe on backing vocals, and Chris Day on bass. The song reminds listeners that we are one with the universe, as well as connected to each other through time and space, and it does so in a lovely, effective, and non-preachy way:
“And we are here for a moment in space and time
Inspiring each other to better humankind
Love is the magic of change.”
“Altered State” is another “chill groove” vocal piece that has got a great vibe and beat and is sure to uplift your spirits immediately. This is a catchy tune with enchanting lyrics and music written by Mary Gospe, who has the lead vocals here with her wonderful, calming voice coaxing us hypnotically into the “escape.”
Mesmerizing, and meditative, “Love Flows,” with its soft flute, guitars, and again beautiful vocals, can be described in one word: Calming. “Reveal” is an empowering chant song that is sung in Farsi, Spanish, and English by Mary Gospe. Flowing, with a world kind of beat, this is gorgeous in every way and the lyrics inspire women to break out of outdated “norms.”
I was excited to hear the title track, which is the only song on the album that was not previously released as a single. Written by Corrie Dunn, this is a song dedicated to us all and to love. And this is what The Song Gardeners are all about. Great beats here, as well as the always beautiful vocals and harmonies between these two women. The instrumentation also includes Corrie performing on a Fender Rhodes electric piano. Very beautiful.
Another “mantra” song, “Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu,” translates to, “May all beings be well.” This is a definitive favorite on the album. A feeling of deep peace pours out over us like sweet salve to the soul upon listening to this piece. This is so very soothing. “. . .May kindness be your guide in this world. . .”
The album closes out with the gentle, flowing, “Warrior of Light.” The song speaks to the events of 2020 and encourages us to not be victims to anything, but to “Activate the love inside, be a warrior, warrior of light. . .”
“We had plans, they got changed
Suddenly, our lives rearranged
It will never, ever be quite the same
It’s a new game”
Indeed, they did, and it is. And I am happy The Song Gardeners are here to uplift us with their music into whatever comes next. Deeply inspiring, this great album is available digitally as well as a physical CD.

People Passing Through–New Album by The Song Gardeners - Vivek Kumar

Living each day in the moment
We’re stepping together in time
Offering a lifetime of knowledge
To those we leave behind
What beautiful thoughts these words carry and how contextual they are to the reality of life, especially in the times when everything seems uncertain! The Song Gardeners are releasing their full-scale album comprising eight songs, which include seven previously released singles and the new one–People Passing Through.
I had the chance to review some of these singles on this website and I am reminded of the energy, thoughtfulness, and effort that was put into creating those songs, laden full with meaningful lyrics and carrying the lightness of soulful music. Like philosophy that made you dance!
Album Name: People Passing Through
Artist Name: The Song Gardeners
Total Time: 33:04
The album opens up with their latest single “Harmony of Contrast”. As I said earlier, it’s a very unique piece that is effortlessly hitting the goal. It brings home the idea of celebrating life with all of its diversity, instead of becoming stagnant and forcibly trying to color it with one’s own opinion.
“Love Is The Magic Of Change” runs for over four minutes. It carries the message of the universality of love with the sweetness of music, balancing the lyrics beautifully.
Right on the spot!
No qualms, no confusing treatment, no extra shining–just a direct, succinct, and an open call to everybody to ‘chill,’ and leave this uneasy and unsettling stagnation that we are right now in. Yes, this is what I got when I tuned to the “Altered State“.
Filled with a soothing ambiance and positive words, “Love Flows” brings a sense of rest to the mind. Almost jazz in its genre, this ‘chill’ music is up for grabs for peeps who are fed up with all the tantalizing news and social media tinsel that covers the inner shine.
“Reveal” is an empowering call for all humanity and especially women to step up and realize their full potential.
The title song, “People Passing Through“, previously unreleased carries the almost trademark beauty of words and chill music. Sung by Corrie Dunn and soulful harmonies offered by Mary Gospe, the song carries the poignancy and fluidity with such poise.
“People Passing Through” from Mary Gospe on Vimeo.
The next one is the rendition of the famous chant “Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu“. The mood of this song is oriented towards prayerfulness. It invites you to immerse yourself in the flow.
The last song, “Warrior of Light“, falls in the category of chill but I feel there is a hint of jazz and lounge music, though the lyrics make it truly a grand piece–something that can be played in a stadium or an auditorium–imagine a whole lot of people swaying with both hands raised and singing it aloud, pledging to themselves that they won’t be bogged down by the adversity but will rise and succeed! Incidentally, the song was released on the occasion of the presidential inauguration in the US, January 21, 2021, as a single.
As you would notice, the undercurrent of every song is love and peace, addressed to every individual who can hustle to find these two basic principles of life running through every moment–of course, we will be facing adversity and challenges, loss and dejection, but there is no need to lose hope. Life is meant to be a struggle and we should be prepared enough to find our way to inner peace.
The album, though just over half an hour in length, carries this message quite emphatically. I invite all the listeners to spend some quality time with the album and let the message sink in deep, empowering you to do well in your life through rejuvenated passion and focus.

"Music Videos With A Message" - New Age Music Guide
9/22/2021
By BT Fasmer
Music video is a powerful medium. It is multi-media at its best, combining music, lyrics with videos and imagery. Here we are going to take a look at The Song Gardeners’ music videos, which might explain why this band even before the release of their debut album (People Passing Through, coming October 1) already are at the forefront of the New Age Pop wave.
The Song Gardeners is a band featuring Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe. We all can use a bit more positivity in our lives, and The Song Gardeners is ready to deliver a colorful bouquet of music custom-made to help us navigate these challenging times. Above you can see the cover to their upcoming album – and below are their videos so far:
Warrior of Light
“Warrior of Light” is an incredibly well-made and radio-friendly piece that goes straight to the listener’s heart. The way it deals with problems and issues makes me think of political songs of the 1960s and 70s. It has that same powerful “we can fix this together” attitude. Even the color palette is all Peace & Love. Before Trump, it might have been a bit over the top, but now – in light of recent events – it is just right. And WOW, what a video!
Harmony of Contrast
Thinking of people as works of art is an eye-opening experience! “Harmony of Contrast” is like a three-and-a-half-minute crash course in “human artworks” and how to interpret people around you. Using art theory such as size, shape, texture, and color, The Song Gardeners show how we can “live peacefully in a harmony of contrast.”
Notice the many references to art and how every human on this planet is seen as a part of a “giant painting.” Talking about paintings: The one you see on the cover is called “Somewhere You Feel Free,” by Corinne Landphere, and is an homage to Tom Petty’s song “Wildflowers.”
With such powerful and inspiring lyrics, it is easy to miss all the other things that are going on. I have already mentioned the “70’s funk rhythm meets 80’s pop”, but just as important is the catchy melody. It is textbook hit material: 40 seconds of build-up and an equality long, well-crafted chorus, a bridge around 2 minutes and 20 seconds, and then repeat before the song goes in for a landing. In other words, perfect New Age pop.
Reveal
“Reveal” is, according to the band, “an invitation for women across the globe to break free of outdated patriarchal, religious and cultural norms that keep them silenced and hinder their choices and freedom of expression.” The single contains chant sung by Gospe in Farsi, Spanish, and English.
In a world still dominated by men, songs like “Reveal” are essential. You could listen to a song before going to a job interview or before embarking on a creative project. Because your voice deserves to be heard and you have something interesting to say. It is a powerful and possibly life-changing message.
When dealing with a song like “Reveal”, it is easy to focus on its meaning from a philosophical and political angle. But make no mistake about it: “Reveal” is, simply put, a great pop song!
Here are four beautiful videos with lyrics:
Love Is The Magic Of Change
The moment you press play on “Love Is The Magic Of Change”, you step into The Song Gardeners’ world of music. It is an incredibly well-made soundscape; a catchy rhythm, pop textures, and a rich synth pad with a nice tremble – and Chris Day’s amazing bass (too many New Age music artists sadly overlook the bass). There is also an Eastern-influenced harp-like instrument (which we from the video can see is played on a Korg synth), which refines and completes the sound. It reminds me of Sally Oldfield’s best songs, it is that good.
It is easy to discredit songs dealing with “peace and love”. It somehow doesn’t feel genuine. “Love Is The Magic Of Change” though, is the real deal. It is about positive change – and it is encouraging on many levels.
Altered State
If we were to put a label on Altered State, it would be a ChillGroove/New Age Groove song. Its catchy rhythm makes the listener pay attention, and when Mary Gospe’s brilliant vocal comes on the band has our undivided attention. Leaving this crazy world for a while and joining them in an altered state seems like a great idea!
On a deeper level, “Altered State” can be interpreted as a recommendation to log off social media, 24/7 newsfeeds and start meditating (using 1970s logic it might be more of a suggestion to do LSD or other hallucinogenic drugs, but I don’t think that is the case here…). Judging by the overall atmosphere, the altered state is about recognizing that our everyday problems are tiny (to say the least) compared to the vastness of space. There is a lot of healing in that.
Love Flows
The single “Love Flows” is a welcoming and highly optimistic pop/crossover song. The slow rhythm, steel-string guitar, and bass lay the foundation before Mary Gospe enters the stage. Her magnificent vocal makes you hang on to every word. The lyrics are about how the journey of self-discovery and love is impossible without peace. “In this stillness, may you be blessed, comforted in times of chaos and stress,” sings Gospe. It is a timely message; rarely have we needed quiet contemplation more than now.
I love the melody! I could listen to it all day, and still be amazed by its loving atmosphere. I also like the production and the electric guitar in the end. “Love Flows” is a genuine soft pop song with broad appeal. Its replay value is obvious from the first listen. And most importantly; it is a fabulous introduction to The Song Gardeners!
“Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu” (May All Beings Be Well)
Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu, a Buddhist chant of happiness, is our guiding star on the next song – where we are greeted by light percussion, electric guitar, and piano. I don’t know if Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu is a mantra, but it has that meditative quality. The lyrics are hopeful and inspirational, wishing spiritual awareness and good luck.
The recording and mixing are outstanding; notice how the song creates a “room of sound”. It is almost hypnotic, and I find myself wishing for the song to go on and on.
Wow! What a nice collection of music videos! If you have seen them all, you are well prepared for the release of People Passing Through, coming October 1.

Positively empowering musical magic The Song Gardeners – PEOPLE PASSING THROUGH:
One of the true joys in writing a music review magazine is that after the singles come out, I am often given the privilege of reviewing the full album when it is released… I was highly impressed when I reviewed “Harmony of Contrast“, featuring Mary Gospe, Corrie Dunn and David Scheibner… I recommend that you watch their positively empowering musical magic in this trailer video for the song “Reveal” to get a feel for their amazing talent together…
To thrill to many more of their performances, be sure you SUBSCRIBE to the Song Gardeners YouTube channel right away.
What sets The Song Gardeners apart from all the “other groups” is a unique ability to weave words into songs that give you hope for the future… “Love Is The Magic of Change“… one line in this beautiful song I found especially enjoyable was “And we are one with the universe sparks of light, Connecting the people and places in our lives“… I have no doubt that DJ’s everywhere will be spinning this tune constantly!
You’ll get a good old-fashioned ’60’s-rock vibe as you scope out “Love Flows“… I immediately had visions of Haight-Ashbury, flowers woven into braids and all the people swaying gently together as tenderness blankets our world.
The Buddhist chant on “Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu” (“May All Beings Be Well”) will help you to realize that our real purpose in life is to show compassion and kindness to all those we encounter… producer David Scheibner also played guitars masterfully on this, with Corrie Dunn doing the piano and lead vocals. If I were on the nominating committees, this song would definitely receive an award!
I had no doubt about my choice for personal favorite of the eight enchanting songs offered up… the aforementioned “Reveal” encourages women to break free of traditions that have enslaved many for centuries… pure beauty, flawless recording and total talent merge to create a song you will be listening to over and over again.
The Song Gardeners get a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99 for this fantastic musical journey. Get more information, and pre-save the album on The Song Gardeners website. Rotcod Zzaj
"Waiting For The Song Gardeners" - New Age Music Guide
BT Fasmer, 9/16/21
The band The Song Gardeners illustrates the power of the single format. Instead of waiting for the album to be completed (People Passing Through, to be released on October 1), they have over the last year released seven singles that have already made them into a fan-favorite and established them in the forefront of the New Age Pop movement.
The Song Gardeners is a band featuring Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe. Below I will give a presentation of all the seven singles released by this band so far. I guess we all can use a bit more positivity in our lives, and The Song Gardeners is ready to deliver a colorful bouquet of music custom-made for the post-Trump, post-Covid19 era. Without further ado, here are the singles:
Love Flows
The single “Love Flows” is a welcoming and highly optimistic pop/crossover song. The slow rhythm, steel-string guitar, and bass lay the foundation before Mary Gospe enters the stage. “Warrior of Light” is an incredibly well-made and radio-friendly piece that goes straight to the listener’s heart. Even the color palette is all Peace & Love. Before Trump, it might have been a bit over the top, but now – in light of recent events – it is just right.
I love the use of “Activate”; being a Warrior of Light is a choice, not something that comes automatically. We humans are pre-programmed to be egotistical and are easily manipulated (“Fear or love, you decide”). But when we “activate the love inside”, everything changes. It is an awakening in every sense of the word, making you “Learn, discern, then go with your gut / Uncover cover-ups”. It is, without a doubt, the finest and most timely political New Age music lyrics ever.

Reviews of “Harmony of Contrast” – Written by Mary Gospe & David Scheibner
"Harmony of Contrast" Review by BT Fasmer, New Age Music Guide
Thinking of people as works of art is an eye-opening experience! The Song Gardeners’ brand new single “Harmony of Contrast” is like a three-and-a-half-minute crash course in “human artworks” and how to interpret people around you. Using art theory such as size, shape, texture, and color, The Song Gardeners show how we can “live peacefully in a harmony of contrast.” The single is not only beautiful, catchy, and a new winner from this San Francisco Bay Area band, but also a deeply thought-provoking song that makes us see people around us in a new light. The “Wouldn’t life be dull and gray, if we all looked the same way?” stays with you for a long time.
The Song Gardeners is a band featuring Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe. A year ago, they debuted with two original songs, “Love Flows” and “Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu” (May All Beings Be Well). Then they followed up with “Altered State,” “Love Is The Magic Of Change,” and “Warrior of Light.” In April, they released a song called “Reveal.” In my review, I wrote: “The single urges women to take control, let their voices be heard, and “reveal the stories of their lives.” It is a catchy and well-made pop song that will hopefully inspire women and serve as a reminder for men.”
Harmony of Contrast
If you already are a fan, you’ll know that this is a good-natured and playful band. They are, at the same time, not afraid to address difficult social and political issues. Their topics are much more serious and hard-hitting than their sound, which makes the listener reflect.
“Harmony of Contrast” has a highly danceable 70’s funk rhythm infused with 80’s pop. Mary Gospe’s vocal is brilliant as always. The moment she starts singing, the listener pays attention. I have liked the lyrics on all of the previous singles, but this time around, it is truly inspired. Check out the lyric video:
https://vimeo.com/565052884
The chorus is incredible:
Like colorful pieces in the mosaic of life
We’re each unique shapes reflecting love and light
In an infinite mural painted on a sea of glass
We can live peacefully in a harmony of contrast
Harmony of contrast
It is, simply put, poetry.
In other words, perfect pop. This is a great place to mention that the single is produced by David Scheibner.
In conclusion, “Harmony of Contrast” by The Song Gardeners is a song that I wish were playing from every loudspeaker on the planet, especially now during LGBT History Month. Other songs by this fine band have been in the “important” category, but this one is universally essential. The key element is how we choose to see each other. In the same way as interpreting works of art, we must learn and practice our understanding of each other. In terms of the melody and arrangement, I love the playful atmosphere and well-made pop sound – which is both retro and modern. It is yet another proof that The Song Gardeners is the leading New Age Pop band out there.
So put on your “Harmony of Contrast” glasses and see how wonderful this world really is!

https://www.newmusicalert.in/2021/06/10/review-of-the-song-gardeners-new-single-harmony-of-contrast/
Contrasting thoughts, beliefs, and practices cause conflicts, yet a few rise above the narrowly placed differences and see them as a whole picture and come to marvel at the sight it presents. It needs a lot of introspection and willingness to acknowledge the ideas that prima facie sound foreign to one’s mind. But if you are able to navigate through this maze, you will come to enjoy the hues with a totally different perspective.
The Song Gardeners have worked in this field where they give music to the ideas–ideas of harmony, peace, and sensibility that would make the world a better place. I admire their orientation towards working continuously in creating meaningful songs that have a message and purpose. They take time, deliberate, and let their minds dig deep before they come back to serve a new song to the listeners. There is a lot of conviction behind what they say through the words and musical notes.
And not to forget the themes and genres they touch through every single they have been releasing–sometimes, it is a soulful rendition and sometimes, it is a funky and peppy tune to give wings to your feet. You can flap along while you enjoy the wisdom of the words.
With “Harmony of Contrast”, once again, they have delivered a very unique piece that is effortlessly hitting the goal. It brings home the idea of celebrating life with all of its diversity, instead of becoming stagnant and forcibly trying to color it with one’s own opinion.
Like colorful pieces in the mosaic of life
We’re each unique shapes reflecting love and light
In an infinite mural painted on a sea of glass
We can live peacefully in a harmony of contrast
Through this chorus, the song invites you to challenge your limitations and adopt a wider outlook, and come to experience the harmony that prevails in the apparent contrasts.
The song is a mixture of funk and pop genres and you would love the way it lets you groove. Mary’s deep voice is layered with Corrie’s harmonies, making it a beautiful song for social gatherings, etc. You would not even notice how, while dancing, you have been given a lot of food for thought. The subtle movements of the guitar make it really funky.
This is a mindful composition for me, and I love the way The Song Gardeners sow every sapling with care and commitment–this song is bound to grow into a beautiful tree!

Dynamic diversity celebrated The Song Gardeners – Harmony of Contrast single review
Dynamic diversity celebrated
The Song Gardeners – HARMONY OF CONTRAST:
I first fell in love with Mary Gospe’s high-energy & high-talent creativity when I reviewed her “Time To Soar” album a year or so back… on this new single, to be released on 21 June, 2021, you’ll hear totally dynamic diversity celebrated most splendidly in a song co-authored by Mary and producer David Scheibner… a video for the new song wasn’t available yet, but “Reveal”, a single released in April, will give you a close-up and personal view of their stunning musical abilities…
I most strongly recommend that you SUBSCRIBE to The Song Gardeners YouTube channel, so you can enjoy all the other excellent performances there as well… I signed up as soon as I encountered her high-talent energy.
What really makes the new single stand out above the rest is the intricate weave of lyrical magic with splendid keyboards from multi-instrumentalist Corrie Dunn and vocals from Mary that are crisp and full of the beauty that diversity can bring. For some reason (particularly on the first 2 or 3 bars), I catch shades of Joni Mitchell, but as the lyric progresses, it’s clear that this is all original and totally inspiring for all of us who believe that the way forward is to embrace each other with love and humanity… I predict that this song will be getting a LOT of airplay on stations of all types around the globe this summer!
I give Mary and all her musical friends on the single a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rating, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) score of 4.99. You can pre-save/pre-add this wonderful song from your preferred provider from Mary’s website.

Cool, groovy, New Age “chill” from The Song Gardeners. – Dyan Garris, New Age CD
_________________________________________
The Song Gardeners, an up-and-coming New Age pop group consisting of California based Mary Gospe (lead and backing vocals), Corrie Dunn (backing vocals and piano), and David Scheibner (guitars), are releasing a new single on June 21, 2021. “Harmony of Contrast” is a funky, rhythmic, “groovy” celebration of the diversity of humanity. The pretty cover art is from a painting by California artist Corinne Landphere.
The Song Gardeners’ music is highly reminiscent of the 60s group, Peter, Paul, and Mary, who brought political concerns and social commentary to the forefront through song. And although not specifically “folk” music, and more to the “New Agey” side of things, The Song Gardeners are succeeding quite well in creating well-crafted, contemporary pop songs with uplifting messages for humanity.
Their colorful new song, “Harmony of Contrast” addresses the theme of diversity. We are all different and unique, but “we can live peacefully in a harmony of contrast.”
“Like colorful pieces in the mosaic of life
We’re each unique shapes reflecting love and light
In an infinite mural painted on a sea of glass
We can live peacefully in a harmony of contrast. . .”
And here we have even more excellent lyrics like this, which truly drive the point home:
“Sculptures of beauty, varying hues
Living portraits with differing views
Whatever your perspective, you get to choose
How to let your light shine through. . .”
As always, the vocal harmonies between Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe are outstanding. The “chill” groove is pleasant and flowing. Great song. Definitely worth checking out.

The harmony and vibrancy of any Song Gardeners track is usually ebullient, but here on this latest single entitled Harmony Of Contrast, they have even nudged that up a touch.
This new offering is full of a positive energy that quite simply is irresistible, and packed with a narrative of lyrics that fill the totally truth bucket with ease. Gospe and Dunn, the two main facets of the band, are in the richest vein of their musical careers, and this brand new single, Harmony Of Contrast has chart bound colourful future, written all over it without a shadow of a doubt.

"Harmony of Contrast" Review by Keith "MuzikMan" Hannaleck, New Age Music Reviews
They get their point across with impactful lyrics like:
Wouldn’t life be dull and gray, if we all looked the same way?
Wouldn’t life be dull and gray, if we all thought the same way?
Wouldn’t life be dull and gray, if we all lived the same way?
The message does not get any clearer and more concise than that. And with the truth flowing through the music and words, you end the listen with a new perspective. Where would we be without “Harmony and Contrast?”

"Reveal" - Review by BT Fasmer, New Age Music Guide
Today The Song Gardeners release their new single, “Reveal”. It urges women to take control, let their voices be heard, and “reveal the stories of their lives”. It is a catchy and well-made pop song that will hopefully inspire women and serve as a reminder for men.
The Song Gardeners is a San Francisco Bay Area band featuring Corrie Dunn and Mary Gospe. Chris Day left the band recently. In June last year, they debuted with two original songs, “Love Flows” and “Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu” (May All Beings Be Well). Then they followed up with “Altered State”, “Love Is The Magic Of Change” and “Warrior of Light”. Their message of love, equality, and peace is wrapped in a unique and delightful mix of pop and New Age music – and today’s new single, “Reveal” is no exception. It is produced by David Scheibner.
Reveal
“Reveal” is, according to the band, “an invitation for women across the globe to break free of outdated patriarchal, religious and cultural norms that keep them silenced and hinder their choices and freedom of expression.” The single contains chant sung by Gospe in Farsi, Spanish, and English.
To reveal what this is all about, I suggest that you first watch this music video. It is amazing!
I’m very impressed with the production. Notice how the intro’s Eastern flavors are replaced by a powerful pop arrangement containing both analog strings and a guitar. Indeed, there are even hints of 1980s hits, making this into something truly inspired, genre-defying, and even global. Listening to “Reveal”, it is safe to say that The Song Gardeners have found their sound. This is their expression.
It is a superb addition to The Song Gardeners’ discography. This is a great time to become a fan; join the movement!!

There can now be no doubt that The Song Gardeners have brought about, and are bringing about, a musical revolution in this new wave of New Age music, their latest single comes on the back of the huge success of taking the One World Music Radio’s Oneness Award.
Reveal is another step in the right direction for the band, who are Mary Gospe, backing vocals, Corrie Dunn lead vocal and piano, and with David Scheibner guitars and producer supreme.
The song sings of freedom and empowerment, and its uplifting and driving messages of tearing down the walls of indignity and empowering the people, through peaceful solutions are a breath of ultra-fresh air in the genre and there can be no denying that The Song Gardeners have just released what is going to be yet another huge hit on their ever growing roll of honour.

Single Review by Dyan Garris, New Age CD, and New Age Notes Radio
A “New Age Pop” song by The Song Gardeners is always fresh and interesting, and this one, “Reveal,” is their best one yet. The group, The Song Gardeners, is Corrie Dunn, Mary Gospe, and David Scheibner. Their new song, “Reveal,” will be released April 8, 2021, on all popular digital/streaming platforms.
The song was co-written by the trio and is an “invitation for women across the globe to break free of outdated patriarchal, religious and cultural norms that keep them silenced and hinder their choices and freedom of expression. “
Here, we have Corrie Dunn on absolutely beautiful lead vocals and piano. She is ON it. Also, Mary Gospe performs on equally gorgeous backing vocals – with the harmonious chant sung in Farsi, Spanish, and English giving the piece an even extra appeal – and we have David Scheibner on glorious guitars. This is a great song.
I think we can all relate to this:
“Take off your mask just for a while
Show me the beauty of your smile
Lift off the veil that shields your light
Unlocking the chains in plain sight”
A “world” percussion vibe and beat at the beginning and underneath lend to the global feel. The lyrics lean toward “feminism” and “gender equality.” But the song is about empowerment, not just women’s empowerment, but the empowerment of all people. “Empower the people, with courage to tear down the walls of indignity. . .”
The song is very well done, all through, with a flowing, hypnotic melody, textures, layers, and beautiful harmonies. As I said, it’s their best yet, and we look forward to more from this dynamic trio.
“Reveal the essence of your soul. . .” We shall.
“REVEAL” will be released on April 8, 2021 on all popular streaming platforms. Definitely one for the playlist.

"Reveal" Review by Vivek Kumar,
April 5, 2021
Have you heard any of the previous singles released by The Song Gardeners? Well, if yes, and if you have enjoyed the variety and subtlety with which they convey their message, prepare yourself for a very unique experience, as the duo (Chris Day recently left the band due to personal reasons) brings you some uplifting lyrics set to world music.
The song starts with egg shakers before the sound of Tabla surprises you, and then you are exposed to the mythical-style rendition of the Farsi version of the chant by Mary Gospe:
Women around the world unite
Stand up for all to see
Celebrate our diversity
Divine femininity
Being from India, I could in fact recognize few words of the Farsi version because many of the words are commonly used in my mother-tongue Punjabi. Later, you will hear this chant also sung in the Spanish language too.
The song is an empowering call for all humanity and especially women to step up and realize their full potential. Corrie Dunn is scintillating in her rendition. Her deep voice allows you to measure the magnanimity of the message and the importance of the change that is demanded in each word.
Reveal the essence of your soul
Trust your intuition, take control
Reveal the stories of your life
Break the silence let love be your guide
Set to a groovy rhythm and a lot of backing vocals, the song actually makes you feel like shaking your leg. I deem it can be used as a performance song by some group who are also working on similar themes of women empowerment and raising awareness about many social issues. Imagine the audience moving sideways in tune with the chant with their hands held high in a hall…truly an anthem!
They have definitely struck the right chord, and I wish the softly-persuading lyrics of the song actually fall on listening ears, and bring about some much-required change the way we function as a society.
Kudos to the team for a well-timed and well-produced song!
"Reveal" - Review by Keith "MuzikMan" Hannaleck
I have been listening to the Song Gardeners music from track to track since last year. Every time I hear a song from these wonderful artists it just melts the day away. All I hear is great music and the most pleasing and soothing voices you can imagine.
“Reveal” is their latest offering. So far this is my favorite. Everything about it just soothed my soul. These two ladies have it together. What was once a trio is now a duo. It looks as if they have carried on without missing a step with their presentation and sound.
I also appreciate the gorgeous cover art. The message I get from that colorful cover is that nature and humans are interlocked, we are one. And that my music loving friends is a fact, and the reason we need to take better care of Mother Earth.
One listen to this track will have you hooked because it is a true to life “Reveal” of music and lyrics with tremendous power and meaning. If you are looking for one thing today to make you smile and give you a universal feeling of hope, then listen now!

Reviews of “Warrior of Light” – Written by Mary Gospe
"Warrior of Light" Review by BT Fasmer, New Age Music Guide
A wind of change is blowing after yesterday’s inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. The Song Gardeners’ new single “Warrior of Light” couldn’t have been released at a better time – inspiring us all to “Stand up! Peacefully, peacefully” for a better tomorrow.
The Song Gardeners is a San Francisco Bay Area band featuring Corrie Dunn, Mary Gospe, and Chris Day. In June, they debuted with two original songs, “Love Flows” and “Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu” (May All Beings Be Well). Then they followed up with “Altered State” and “Love Is The Magic Of Change”. In the chaos following the election, these two songs gave hope to many. Now they are back with an equally inspiring song.
Warrior of Light
The Song Gardeners’ sound is a delightful mix of Pop, Groove, and Chill – which also can be labeled as New Age Pop. “Warrior of Light” continues where “Altered State” and “Love Is The Magic Of Change” left off. It is an incredibly well-made and radio-friendly piece that goes straight to the listener’s heart. The way it deals with problems and issues makes me think of political songs of the 1960s and 70s. It has that same powerful “we can fix this together” attitude. Even the color palette is all Peace & Love. Before Trump, it might have been a bit over the top, but now – in light of recent events – it is just right.
The mixing and mastering are hands down fantastic. The first 8 seconds is a “rewind-intro”, which makes the listener pay attention. We are greeted by a piano, deep synth pads, and a gentle rhythm. This segment reminds me of the piano used by Michael Cretu in Enigma’s “MCMXC a.D.” album. It is just as good. But all of this seems to fade into the background as Mary Gospe starts singing. It is impossible not to be moved by the lyrics (see the video for the complete lyrics):
Activate the love inside, be a warrior, warrior of light
Activate the love inside, be a warrior, warrior of light
We had plans, they got changed
Suddenly, our lives rearranged
It will never, ever be quite the same
It’s a new game
Not sure which news to trust
As we pivot, adapt, adjust
Learn, discern, then go with your gut
Uncover cover-ups
Up high we see the low down
Our fear is a feeding ground
For those who seek control
The manipulation has got to go
Chaos is a catalyst
Change is here, we’re in the shift
Fear or love, you decide
In which world will you reside?
Stand up! Reclaim your sovereignty
Stand up! For what you believe
Stand up! Create a new story
Stand up! Peacefully, peacefully
There are many Covid19 references here, seen as a symptom of the past administration’s inability to see the dangers of the virus before it was too late. The untrustworthy news networks are another symptom of the problems that have to be fixed. But Warrior of Lights can fight this, peacefully and respectfully. The chorus around 2m:20s and onwards, where the whole band joins in, is terrific.
The Song Gardeners have delivered a single that every channel on the Earth should be playing this week. The days and months ahead will require an army of illuminated warriors, willing to “Stand up! Peacefully, peacefully”.
Luckily, we all know where to start.

This has to be the most important single released this year so far, it is entitled Warrior of Light, you will find some very poignant lyrics within this superb single, so please listen carefully and then become that warrior you know you can be.
A smooth and beautifully produced offering once more, quality is something we have come to expect from The Song Gardeners, but this must be the most empowering piece yet, and coming at a time when the whole world, for one reason or another needs to heal. A smart and tranquil song with an ultra-positive message, all done to the backdrop of a truly beautifully performed arrangement.

"Warrior of Light" Review by Vivek Kumar, New Music Alert
https://www.newmusicalert.in/2020/09/09/altered-state-new-single-by-the-song-gardeners/
This is, by far, the best song that I have listened from the Song Gardeners. Period!
What lyrics, music, and voice they have rendered to dispel the darkness that engulfed us almost the whole year! The new year is a time of resolution, affirmation, and conviction that we are not going to lose. This song is a poetic answer to the question that the universe has asked of humanity.
Stand up! Reclaim your sovereignty
Stand up! For what you believe
Stand up! Create a new story
Stand up! Peacefully, peacefully
Activate the love inside, be a warrior, warrior of light
Just reading these words will fill you with so much power and faith, and Mary Gospe has sung it so endearingly, with guitar and harmonies making it an anthem for the post-COVID era!
I noticed Mary’s voice also has a different tonality–it sounds like someone has attained inner peace and the words are coming out laced with belief in their meaning. It is not simply utterance or ornate rendition–it is heartfelt. One can’t but marvel at the beauty of what art can make possible–raising the spirit from the debris, what strange energy a word, a note, a twang, a beat can impart!
The song falls in the category of chill but I feel there is a hint of jazz and lounge music, though the lyrics make it truly a grand piece–something that can be played in a stadium or an auditorium–imagine a whole lot of people swaying with both hands raised and singing it aloud, pledging to themselves that they won’t be bogged down by the adversity but will rise and succeed!
Mary Gospe is the lead singer while Corrie Dunn has provided support with the piano and backing vocals. Chris Day plays bass and David Scheibner, who is also the producer, is on guitars.
Slated to release a day after the presidential inauguration in the US, January 21, 2021, the song is truly a New Year gift for the whole world. Kudos to the team for such a tremendous effort!

The Song Gardeners have once again graced our presence with another single release titled “Warrior of Light.”
Once again featured on the track singer/songwriter Corrie Dunn (vocals, piano, guitar), singer/songwriter Mary Gospe (vocals, guitar, percussion), and Chris Day (bass).
Mary sings “Activate the love inside, be a warrior, a warrior of light.” This is very spiritual and positive for us all to take to heart. It goes along with the saying “Kill them with kindness.” That kind of approach helps people drop their guard and open up to another viewpoint.
This is not a protest song by any means however it does point to the media and the lies both sides have been telling us all along to support their agendas. That is one simple fact that most people do realize. So the message is to be true to yourself and picking a side is not part of the equation. Travel your purposeful path and you will reach the desired destination. The truth shall be revealed if you listen to your inner voice which is a “go with your gut” attitude that cannot miss.
I for one loved the song, lyrics, and the premise of why it was recorded. This is musical nourishment for the soul!
Reviews of “Love Is the Magic of Change” – Written by Corrie M. Dunn
"Love Is the Magic of Change" - Review by BT Fasmer, New Age Music.Guide
The Song Gardeners, a San Francisco Bay Area band featuring Corrie Dunn, Mary Gospe, and Chris Day, is without a doubt the most promising New Age music band since FLOW. In June, they debuted with two original songs, “Love Flows” and “Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu” (May All Beings Be Well). Then they followed up with “Altered State”, a ChillGroove/New Age Groove song that sums up the stresses of 2020 and shows the power of meditation. Now they are back with a song that captures the atmosphere of the post-Trump era.
Corrie Dunn has a fantastic vocal, and as soon as she starts singing a story takes shape (Dunn also wrote the lyrics, I think you will agree with me that they are amazing):
Boarding on to a midnight plane
Listening to the falling rain
I look through a window at the view
I see my reflection, reflecting you
There are quite a few details here that deserve to be mentioned; The midnight plane and the falling rain. It is really something to be in a plane before take-off when heavy rain pours down, knowing that you will soon be above the skies. Rain is also a frequent symbol of something being sad – at least in pop songs and romantic poems – but I don’t think that is true here. It sets the atmosphere, that is all. The most interesting part is the reflection. The you here is inspired! It is a reminder that we are all the same, whoever we are and wherever we live. The reflection you are seeing could be anyone, but it is you – a human capable of loving and making the world a better place. Notice the bell-synth when Dunn sings you; it is an outstanding sound design.
I’m very impressed by the chorus; it takes off like a 747 (we hear Mary Gospe on the “Love is the magic” part):
And we are one with the universe sparks of light
Connecting the people and places in our lives
And we are here for a moment in space and time
Inspiring each other to better humankind
Love is the magic
In other words, we are – to quote Einstein – living in a friendly universe, and we have to make the best out of the short time we are given. Do you want to spend your time loving or hating?
In conclusion: “Love Is The Magic Of Change” is only the band’s fourth single, but there is no doubt that The Song Gardeners are in the forefront of the New Age pop wave. Other similar artists are Svara, Osmunda Music, Catherine Corona – and of course, Mary Gospe’s solo material. It is easy to discredit songs dealing with “peace and love”. It somehow doesn’t feel genuine. “Love Is The Magic Of Change” though, is the real deal. It is about positive change – and it is encouraging on many levels. My only concern is that for frequent travelers like myself, who have at least six more months of home office to look forward to, “taking a journey through the sky” seems almost too tempting. But, on the other hand, it is a welcome reminder of the world that is waiting for us when Covid19 is a thing of the past.
“Love Is The Magic Of Change” is, in short, 4 minutes and 7 seconds of hope.

The hits keep rolling on for The Song Gardeners and now with the release of Love Is The Magic of Change, they have probably released their most commercial single yet, a song written by Corrie Dunn.
The vibrancy and freshness of this new release is enticing and intoxicating, the production quality and depth of arrangement is exceptional; here we have probably the very first spiritually funky inspired song ever, and it is irresistible.
Love is indeed the magic of change, and once more I believe that The Song Gardeners will find they have another huge hit on their hands, classy musicianship, smooth vocals, and all bathed within energy of intent that is simply undeniable.

New Single by The Song Gardeners: Love Is the Magic of Change
Boarding on to a midnight plane
Listening to the falling rain
I look through a window at the view
I see my reflection, reflecting you
These opening lines of the new song by The Song Gardeners portray the perfect place where you would like to imagine yourself when you tune to this love-song…what poetry, what jazziness, and what chill it carries! In the recent past, they have surprised me with the beautiful simplicity the trio carries in their lyrics yet conveying the most fundamental truths of our existence. How they put such chill music to these truth-laced words is amazing!
Love Is the Magic of Change Cover
The song is written and sung by Corrie M. Dunn and is recorded by The Song Gardeners.
Love is truly the magic of every type of change, and when it comes to understanding the esoteric-sounding truths of our existence, it is the very fundamental basics of love that help us bring a change in our view–we are indeed one with the universe.
With the very first note, the crystallinity of Corrie’s voice takes you on a ride to the inner chambers of your heart, where you explore these truths in a romantic way. I wonder what inspires them to venture into these realms with such ease.
One thing I like in their songs is the balance they keep between the vocals and the instruments, allowing the listeners to enjoy both the poetic and musical beauty of their songs. This song too has got a nice groove to it and allows you to tap your feet in agreement.
Corrie Dunn also plays the synths on this song, while Mary Gospe provides the backing vocals, and Chris Day is on the bass.
Once again, they have shared their gift with a sweet song of love for everybody and the universe. I invite the listeners to regale themselves with this beautiful piece that carries the message of universality with such clarity.

“Love is the Magic of Change” by The Song Gardeners | Single Review by Dyan Garris for New Age CD
The Song Gardeners is a musical trio from the San Francisco Bay Area. The band’s motto is #LOVE, which is apropos, as the group creates uplifting, inspiring songs for humanity.
The group features singer/songwriter Corrie Dunn (vocals, piano, guitar), singer/songwriter Mary Gospe (vocals, guitar, percussion), and Chris Day (bass). Their original songs are filled with positive, empowering messages and wonderful harmonies that almost make it seem like they’ve been singing together forever.
Their single, “Love Is the Magic of Change,” is a groovy “chill jazz” piece with music and lyrics by Corrie Dunn. The song features Corrie’s “sweet as honey” voice on lead vocals, backing vocals, and synths, with additional backing vocals by Mary Gospe, and Chris Day on bass.
This optimistic, hope-filled song, produced and mixed by David Scheibner, reminds listeners that we are one with the universe, as well as connected to each other through time and space, and does so in a lovely, effective, and non-preachy way:
“And we are one with the universe sparks of light
Connecting the people and places in our lives
Love is the magic of change
And we are here for a moment in space and time
Inspiring each other to better humankind
Love is the magic of change. . .”
The music is cool, the lyrics catchy, and this pleasant, enjoyable song brings a great, revitalizing message to humanity. I found it to be very calming to the spirit.
The song will be officially released on November 11, 2020 and will be available on all major digital platforms.
Meanwhile, the official music video for the song is here: https://vimeo.com/471603671/31d40b7302 and you can pre-save/pre-add the song here: https://ffm.to/mqrxjvo
“Love is the Magic of Change” is its own spark of light. Very nicely done, and another hit, I suspect, by this up-and-coming trio which is definitely one to follow and keep up with as they continue to ascend.

The Song Gardeners are back with a new single from the fertile grounds where they plant a seed with their enchanting sounds on “Love Is The Magic of Change.”
The seed grows and blossoms inside you while listening to their music. It is a can’t miss proposition with lyrics that will touch your soul.
Here is an example of some of the lyrics:
And we are one with the universe sparks of light, connecting the people and places in our lives, and we are here for a moment in space and time, inspiring each other to better humankind.
It is so beautiful and meaningful and the music brings the lyrics down the path that makes the most impact. The voice of Ms. Corrie Dunn is excellent, her inner beauty and tenderness come shining through as she plays the keys.
Chris Day’s bass is in perfect step as Mary Gospe provides the backing vocals. It is a trio from heaven here to grace our presence with their magic of change, their music.

I would think that any sane person who can see this world for what it is, and the occurrences that are happening upon it, would relate completely to the lyrics of this song. Who wouldn’t give to live in an altered state? One free from negativity and control, a place of positivity and forward thinking and happiness.
The Song Gardeners are on a roll at the moment with hit singles like Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu and the every brilliant Love Flows. Altered State keeps that classy momentum going, an upbeat and vibrant offering indeed, perfectly arranged and exciting to explore, Gospe and her team are totally in the flow here, and this new single has the words huge hit written all over it.
"Altered State" Review by BT Fasmer, New Age Music Guide
September 15, 2020
In our hectic, modern lives, longing for a little peace of mind is not uncommon. But Covid19 and everything it entails has made this need even more pressing. “I want to leave this crazy world for a while. Switch off the news and turn the radio dial,” sings The Song Gardeners on their new single “Altered State” – and continues: “Tune into love the highest frequency, and melt with the consciousness of unity.” It sounds tempting! The Song Gardeners may cure some of the tension 2020 has brought upon us.
“Altered State” has just been released! Be among the first to hear it:
In June we had the pleasure of introducing the new San Francisco Bay Area band The Song Gardeners. It features Corrie Dunn, Mary Gospe and Chris Day. They debuted with two original songs, “Love Flows” and “Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu” (May All Beings Be Well). In our review, we wrote: “The two singles are a promising introduction to The Song Gardeners. Asking for more music, a whole album perhaps, seems like the only logical conclusion. We would love to see what more their garden has to offer.” Now the day has come, and “Altered State” is here!
Altered State
If we were to put a label on the new single, it would be a ChillGroove/New Age Groove song. Its catchy rhythm makes the listener pay attention, and when Mary Gospe’s brilliant vocal comes on the band has our undivided attention. Leaving this crazy world for a while and joining them in an altered state seems like a great idea!
I love how the song flows; it is a well-crafted pop song. The rhythm is both soft and hard at the same time. Notice the synth effect in the beginning; it is almost like a low-intensity alarm before a much smoother synth takes its place. It is an indication of the shift that is “the altered state”. Above I commented on Mary Gospe’s vocal, but Corrie Dunn is backing her wonderfully too. I enjoy the almost hypnotic “swirling and spinning, no end no beginning”, and the seductive “Oh won’t you join me there? We’ll dance among the stars.”
On a deeper level, “Altered State” can be interpreted as a recommendation to log off social media, 24/7 newsfeeds and start meditating (using 1970s logic it might be more of a suggestion to do LSD or other hallucinogenic drugs, but I don’t think that is the case here…). Judging by the video, the altered state is about recognizing that our everyday problems are tiny (to say the least) compared to the vastness of space. There is a lot of healing in that.
“Altered State” is, all in all, an extremely promising single by The Song Gardeners! While “Love Flows” and “Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu” very much appeal to us New Age music enthusiasts (we know that for a fact after having had the songs on high rotation on New Age Stars Radio for the last few months), “Altered State” will please a much broader audience. One thing seems certain; The Song Gardeners is a band to follow in the age of Covid19 – and beyond.

Right on the spot! No qualms, no confusing treatment, no extra shining–just a direct, succinct, and an open call to everybody to ‘chill,’ and leave this uneasy and unsettling stagnation that we are right now in. Yes, this is what I got when I tuned to the new song from The Song Gardeners, where Mary, once again, lent her beautiful voice to the lyrics which convey the collective feelings of the society in the present situation, with poetic beauty.
She really wants us to join her there…in that altered state
Song Name: Altered State
Artist (s): Mary Gospe (The Song Gardeners)
The song is a ‘chill groove‘ number, and it feels like an outcry of the soul that wants to go beyond this elemental binding that is trying to limit everything–whether it is your movement, your connection, your lifestyle itself. And what seems to be the solution–making peace with it and going inwards. If you can’t travel far out, try traveling within and this song could help you hop onto that ride. Travel within and explore the marvels that lie therein.
What I like in these tracks by The Song Gardeners is the simplicity with which they convey their intent. Often, for me personally at least, the message is shrouded by the movements of music, and the listener gets carried away by the flair, but the art lies in keeping the vocals and instruments in a balance where your ears could pick what is being said musically. I just love this approach!
The song releases on the 15th of September (Pre-save here), and I invite you to give it a spin on your favorite streaming channels.
Let’s explore that altered state and find something new!

Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu – Steve Sheppard Review
Many would call Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu, written by Corrie Dunn a devotional track, perhaps spiritual, well yes it could well be, but apart from that it is another outstanding new single by The Song Gardeners who with their other new work Love Flows are capturing the ears of new listeners all across the globe.
How can you argue with the lyrics that state “May kindness be your guide in this world”? There are a few world leaders who need to learn that lesson, and quick!
The multi-instrumental nature of this track, the outstanding vocals, the message of the song, and the sublime production quality of this single are just what the world needs right now, just what my soul needed right now, and I am guessing if you’re a fan of really good music that can and will empower you to raise your own energies, you too will fall in love with Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu By The Song Gardeners, it is that good.

Watch “Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu (May All Beings Be Well)” Lyric Video – The Song Gardeners from Mary Gospe on Vimeo.
It opens our eyes to the beauty of the world:
In the light, the colors of the earth shine through
Painting the hillside, every shade of green and blue
The song is about taking a spiritual journey. Following a sacred road will give you a new point of view. It is a journey of the mind, discovering how inner peace is the key to a good life, filled with compassion and beauty.
The recording and mixing are outstanding; notice how the song creates a “room of sound”. It is almost hypnotic, and I find myself wishing for the song to go on and on. A little over 4 minutes is way too little. An extended version would be most welcome.
In conclusion: Minnie Amoniuer, the 18th-century poet, said, “there’s always music among the trees in the garden, but our hearts must be very quiet to hear it.” The music of The Song Gardeners also has this quality. It makes our hearts quiet. It opens our minds too. The two singles are a very promising introduction to The Song Gardeners. Asking for more music, a whole album perhaps, seems like the only logical conclusion. I would love to see what more their garden has to offer!

“May you lead with compassion. . .May kindness be your guide in this world. . .”
The song title of this new single by The Song Gardeners translates to “May all beings be well.” This is a very timely and beautiful song for all we are facing in these challenging times and beyond. The feeling of deep peace pours out over us like sweet salve to the soul in this soothing, “mantra” style song.

Their original songs are filled with positive, empowering messages and beautiful harmonies. The band’s motto is “#LOVE.” Love is powerful and eternal, and here in this lovely song written by Corrie Dunn and produced and mixed by David Scheibner, we are gently invited to remember, embrace, and lead with love and compassion in all we do.

Soft egg shakers and a lilting guitar invite you to another mantra music beauty by The Song Gardeners–Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu (May All Beings Be Well). The perennial call that recognizes all the beings as one consciousness. Its soft pace and rhythm almost make you shake your body.
Lyrics of the song are written by Corrie Dunn, and the song invites you to open yourself to that universal oneness which will expand the understanding that you carry about yourself.
Check the video of the song here:

I am reminded of the poetry of Rabindranath Tagore when I heard this song. One of his most popular poems ‘Where the Mind is Without Fear” has these lines:
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
A similar sentiment is expressed in this song,
“May you lead with compassion
May kindness be your guide in this world”
The human mind, born out of that consciousness, calls, again and again, to tap that source, though it itself is the biggest barrier in reaching that level–tuning to such soulful music is one sure way in which it could be tamed and made to listen to the higher self.
The mood of this song, unlike the other from the same band, ‘Love Flows,’ is oriented towards prayerfulness. ‘Love Flows’ is more of a chant, which helps you to enjoy a state or kind of an affirmation; “Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu’ is more of a prayer, which invites you to immerse yourself in the flow. Both are so beautiful and appropriate for times such as these!

Love Flows – Steve Sheppard Review (pdf)
I have come to expect quality compositions these days, the genre that could loosely be described as New Age is on the upward march and now embracing the ever growing singles market, but today I was utterly blown away with this latest single by the band The Song Gardeners entitled Love Flows, written by Mary Gospe.
The combination that brings the magic to our ears is singer/songwriter Corrie Dunn (vocals, piano, guitar), singer/songwriter Mary Gospe (lead vocals, guitar, flute), and Chris Day (bass) with additional guitars are by David Scheibner.
As a guitarist myself I loved the work on this new single, its music to make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. Love Flows is simply musical beauty at a whole new level, and I testify to that, as this is now my fifth consecutive play and it won’t be my last. Here is a composition bathed in something we desperately as a planet need now, positivity, it is without doubt an absolute must buy song indeed.
"Love Flows" Review by BT Fasmer, NewAgeMusic.Guide
The single “Love Flows” is a welcoming and highly optimistic pop/crossover song. The slow rhythm, steel-string guitar and bass lay the foundation before Mary Gospe enters the stage. But the song’s purpose is not limited to the age of Covid19 and racial riots.
Notice the inspiring conclusion:
May you discover your own truth
May you find your purpose, what you’re here to do
May you fall in love with who you are
An exquisite shining star
This is a life-changing discovery, in my opinion. It is the essence of the self, something you wished you had known when you were in your teens. It is as beautiful as it is important.

In the peace and calm, love flows to all;
In the peace and calm, love flows.
What a call!–especially, in times like these, when they say the tempers are tested and character is trialed on the anvil of extremities. With so many distractions, delusions, and disturbances trying to play non-stop with one’s mind, it becomes exceedingly difficult to withdraw it and focus on the simplicity and easiness of the flow, with which everything goes on in this universe. To think of that force, to imbibe it, and to put it forth with a musical layer is something very unique.
The Song Gardeners, a trio based in the San Francisco Bay Area, has produced this lovely mantra song, which could transport you to another level of existence within seconds. Check out this video:

Filled with a soothing ambiance and positive words, the song brings a sense of rest to the mind. Almost jazz in its genre, this ‘chill’ music is up for the grabs for peeps who are fed up with all the tantalizing news and social media tinsel that covers the inner shine. I would be playing it on ‘repeat’ for a long time!

Mary Gospe is the lyricist and lead vocalist of the song, and also plays the hypnotic flute. Backing vocals and piano are provided by Corrie Dunn. Bass is by Chris Day and additional guitars by David Scheibner, who also happens to be the producer and mixer of the song.
